fix(web, mobile): subagent cards show which account each subagent runs on - #24898
With two accounts for one provider (e.g. two Claude logins with accent badges), the chat's N subagents card shows every subagent with the same plain provider icon, in both the stacked header avatars and the expanded rows. You can't tell which account each subagent runs on. The sidebar, composer and handoff rows already show the account badge. The mobile feed's subagent group header has the same gap.
Change
Web:EnvironmentSubagentAvatar (used by the card header, its expanded rows, and workflow opening rows) now also selects the account's accent and the shouldShowInstanceBadge result as primitives, like its existing display-name selector, so provider status pushes still don't re-render the card. SubagentAvatar passes them to ProviderInstanceIcon with the compact badge. When the badge shows, the status dot moves to the top-left.
Mobile: the feed's group header avatars render ProviderInstanceIcon with the badge under the same rule. ProviderInstanceIcon's surfaceColor becomes optional and defaults to a border-screen class, so this file needs no theme-variable escape hatch. fix(web, mobile): lineage and agent rows show which account a subagent runs on #24833 makes the identical change to that component, so whichever lands first, the other merges cleanly.
Single-account users see no change. No contract, server or adapter change.
Scope and approval
Small obvious-bug fix: the existing display rule (shouldShowInstanceBadge) wasn't applied on one more surface. Same pattern as #5980, #9899, #15477 and #24833 (the Lineage panel). It adds no configuration or workflow.

Visual-only change, so per AGENTS.md the captures above are the proof; no UI test added. They come from a throwaway browser-runner fixture, not a live dev server.
Mobile was checked by typecheck and lint only; I didn't run an iOS or Android simulator. Electron wraps web.
Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This is a contained web/mobile UI bug fix that applies existing provider-account badge logic to subagent avatars while preserving the prior plain-icon behavior for single-account cases. The project-enabled-instance regression is covered by a test, and no execution, schema, default, or deployment behavior changes.

Walkthrough
Web chat and mobile subagent avatars now resolve provider-instance details and show account badges when the selected entry qualifies. Badge eligibility requires a normalizable accent color. ProviderInstanceIcon supports an omitted surface color and applies fallback styling.

Summary
Badge eligibility and rendering packages/client-runtime/src/state/providerInstanceDisplay.ts, packages/client-runtime/src/state/providerInstanceDisplay.test.ts, apps/mobile/src/components/ProviderIcon.tsx
Badge eligibility now requires a normalizable accent color. A test checks that the non-hex value "blue" does not qualify. ProviderInstanceIcon accepts an optional surfaceColor and applies fallback background and border classes.
Web provider branding and avatars apps/web/src/providerInstances.ts, apps/web/src/providerInstances.test.ts, apps/web/src/components/chat/V2LifecycleRow.tsx
Provider entries can be branded from settings. Web lifecycle avatars use the selected entry's display name, accent color, and badge eligibility. The status dot moves to the upper-left when a badge is shown.
Mobile grouped avatars apps/mobile/src/features/threads/thread-subagent-group.tsx
Mobile grouped avatars resolve the matching provider from server configuration and show its provider-instance badge when eligible. Otherwise, they show the provider icon.

Explanation
Issue #24896 requires account badges on web subagent card headers, expanded rows, workflow member rows, and mobile feed group avatars. The PR selects provider-instance accent and badge state, passes them to ProviderInstanceIcon, and moves the status dot to the top-left when a badge is shown. The shared SubagentAvatar covers the named web surfaces. The mobile group uses the same shouldShowInstanceBadge rule. Supporting tests cover branding and non-hex accent handling. No contract, server, or adapter change appears in the reviewed changes.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changed files directly support issue #24896. Web provider-entry branding supplies the account data required by the card avatars. The shared badge-rule correction and its test preserve the requested display rule. The mobile ProviderInstanceIcon surface-color default supports badge rendering without changing callers that provide a surface color. The mobile avatar change implements the issue's feed-group requirement. No unrelated feature or configuration change is shown.

ProviderInstanceIcon uses border-screen when surfaceColor is omitted. This badge is positioned over a bg-card wrapper, so its border can use the screen color instead of the card color. Pass --color-card as surfaceColor.

Pass the settings-derived registry agent ID to the mobile subagent badge check.
SubagentAvatar builds provider records without acpRegistryAgentId. shouldShowInstanceBadge compares that field for ACP registry entries. When two ACP registry instances share a driver, have no valid accent, and have distinct agent IDs in settings, both records have undefined IDs. The helper treats them as one identity and returns true. The badge then appears even though the helper's own contract hides it for distinct ACP agents.
The mobile thread handoff row already derives this ID from config.settings.providerInstances. The subagent avatar should use the same derivation. Instances with no available agent ID still have undefined and keep the current badge behavior.
Pass providerInstances={config?.settings.providerInstances ?? {}} where SubagentAvatar is rendered. ThreadSubagentGroup already reads config.

EnvironmentSubagentAvatar passes unbranded entries to shouldShowInstanceBadge(). deriveProviderInstanceEntries() leaves acpRegistryAgentId unset, so two distinct ACP agents with the same driver and no accent can be counted as one identity and receive an instance badge.
Use applyProviderInstanceSettings() with the environment settings before evaluating the badge. This web correction is separate from the mobile provider mapping.

Pass the branded ACP icon and agent ID to the subagent avatar.
EnvironmentSubagentAvatar applies settings branding to the display name, accent color, and badge, but it reads iconUrl from the unbranded provider snapshot. For ACP instances with explicit settings, the configured registryIconUrl and agentId never reach ProviderInstanceIcon. Select the branded entry's acpRegistryIconUrl and acpRegistryAgentId instead:
SubagentAvatar must also accept acpRegistryAgentId and forward it to ProviderInstanceIcon as acpRegistryAgentId. Its props declaration was not inspected, so that change is not shown.
