CI and the release workflow take the Go version from go.mod (and trusted/go.mod, the same file checked out at the trusted ref), so binaries were built with go1.27.0. With that toolchain govulncheck reports 10 standard library vulnerabilities reachable from this code (GO-2026-6809 and GO-2026-6603 to 6617); all are fixed in Go 1.27.3.

  • go.mod: go 1.27.3
  • Dockerfile: golang:1.27.3 instead of the floating golang:1.27

Verified with go1.27.3: go build, go vet and go test ./... pass; govulncheck finds no vulnerabilities. The container image builds and kbd reports go1.27.3.

CI and the release workflow take the Go version from go.mod, so release
binaries were built with go1.27.0, and govulncheck reports standard
library vulnerabilities reachable from this code with that toolchain,
including GO-2026-6809 in crypto/x509. Require go 1.27.3 and pin the
container build image to golang:1.27.3 instead of the floating 1.27 tag.
