The guided court selector was skipped for Massachusetts, so a number that names no court left filers with the flat court list. The questions now appear once inference fails, or when the filer chooses Change court, where they open on the inferred court. A court the selector publishes while it is starting no longer counts as the filer's choice, so it cannot stop a verified case number from settling the court. Massachusetts lookup identifies the court for documented District, Superior, and Probate and Family docket formats only when the MACourts mapping and this environment's offered courts identify one Tyler ID. Legacy, unsupported, unavailable, and ambiguous matches retain manual court selection. Users can change an inferred court; Vermont continues asking for court and case number.
Official examples and source URLs are recorded in
efile_app/efile/tests/fixtures/massachusetts_dockets.json. The resolver uses the Trial Court's format documentation and the shared catalog's Trial Court-to-Tyler mapping rather than treating those identifiers as interchangeable.Part 5 of the core stack for #300. Base/dependency:

20 resolver and case-lookup tests passed, including official examples, unavailable courts, ambiguous mappings, and manual fallbacks. Full Python and JavaScript suites and pre-push checks passed.
