feat(glorious): add SinoWealth driver for wired Model O / D and Model O Eternal - #262
A user's original wired Glorious Model O showed "No supported mouse detected" in Hone. The wired Model O / D are SinoWealth mice (258a:0036, 258a:0033), not the classic wireless-era family (0x2011 etc.), and had no driver. Model O Eternal (3794:a000) is the same protocol.
What
New codec src/glorious-sinowealth/ (exported as ./glorious-sinowealth) and driver src/drivers/glorious/sinowealth-hid.ts, registered and added to the picker filters.
DPI stages (400+, 100 steps), active stage, polling rate (125-1000 Hz), lighting (Off, Static, Cycling, Breathing random, Wave, Breathing single), and debounce when report 5 is readable.
Whole-block read-modify-write on report 4 (or 6) with the size byte taken from the block, then read-back comparison. Writes are refused if the block size cannot be established.
No hardware test yet; every product entry is verified: false and the status note says so. Needs a real wired Model O to confirm report 4 vs 6, the declared report size under WebHID, and that writes stick.
Button remapping is not implemented: libratbag's forward/back bitmask disagrees with the M690 hardware capture.
Old-firmware Model O (258a:0027) is not claimed; that id is shared with other brands.
The supported-mice catalogs in the openmouse and landing-page repos still list only the wireless-era Model O PIDs; follow-up there.
Testing
npm run build && npm test (2741 pass). 26 new tests cover detection, decoding, field edits preserving unknown bytes, lighting offsets, size/write framing, read-back mismatch, and short-report fallback.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added support for compatible wired Glorious Model O/O-, Model D/D-, and Model O Eternal mice.
View and adjust DPI stages, active DPI stage, polling rate, lighting, and debounce time.
Changes are checked against device settings, and controls remain unavailable when settings cannot be read reliably.
Note
Add SinoWealth driver for wired Model O / D and Model O Eternal
New GloriousSinowealthHidClient in sinowealth-hid.ts reads and writes the SinoWealth config block over WebHID feature reports, covering DPI stages, active stage, polling rate, lighting, and debounce.
Protocol codec, product catalog (wired Model O / O-, Model D / D-, Model O Eternal), config decoding, and mutation helpers live in index.ts.
Driver is registered in registry.ts, with HID filters in vendors.ts and package exports via the ./glorious-sinowealth subpath and gloriousSinowealth namespace.
All writes use a serialized read-modify-write flow: config size must be resolved first, the whole block is sent, and a mismatched read-back rejects the write. Failed status reads return an identity-only status.
Risk: driver matching requires the SinoWealth usage page plus command and config reports; generic SinoWealth, Redragon M690 PRO, and classic wireless Model O IDs are excluded in the matchers.
… O Eternal
Original wired Model O / O- (258a:0036), Model D / D- (258a:0033) and Model O
Eternal (3794:a000) speak the generic SinoWealth protocol, not the classic
wireless-era Glorious one, so Hone reported them as unsupported.
Reads and writes DPI stages, active stage, polling rate, lighting and (when
the short report is readable) debounce, as whole-block read-modify-write with
read-back. Offsets follow libratbag driver-sinowealth.c and OpenRGB's
SinowealthController. Not yet verified on hardware.

Walkthrough
Adds a TypeScript SinoWealth protocol implementation and a HID client for supported wired Glorious mice. Registers the client and device filters, exposes the protocol through package exports, and adds tests for protocol operations, device status, and settings writes.
Changes: Glorious SinoWealth support
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Protocol and settings operations src/glorious-sinowealth/index.ts, src/drivers/glorious/sinowealth-hid.test.ts
Adds product and configuration definitions, protocol validation and encoding, settings decoding and updates, and tests for protocol behavior.
HID client and controls src/drivers/glorious/sinowealth-hid.ts, src/drivers/glorious/sinowealth-hid.test.ts
Adds HID report handling, status reads, DPI, polling, lighting, and debounce controls. Configuration writes verify the settings by reading them back. Tests cover status, control updates, and failure cases.
Driver discovery and public exports src/drivers/registry.ts, src/drivers/vendors.ts, src/index.ts, package.json, src/drivers/glorious/sinowealth-hid.test.ts
Registers the client and HID filters for the listed products. Exports the protocol module through the package and root entry points. Tests cover device support detection.
The new driver has bounded gaps in debounce validation, DPI choices, and discovery of nested Model O Eternal layouts. These warrant fixes or explicit follow-up, but the established issues do not indicate broad disruption or settings corruption.

Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — Adds experimental wired Glorious mouse support with narrowly scoped device matching and verified settings writes. Hardware compatibility remains unconfirmed, but changes are confined to newly supported devices with explicit settings actions and defensive read/write checks.

Validate the debounce reply byte before converting it to milliseconds.
gloriousSinowealthDecodeDebounce returns reply[2] * 2 for any byte. A reply byte of 0xff decodes to 510 ms, and readFullStatus reports that value and sets showAdvancedSection. Reject raw values outside 2–8 (4–16 ms) before the value is returned.

⚠️Unverified finding
We couldn't verify this from the code. It is shown for review, not as a verified issue.
getDpiOptions always advertises 400–12000 DPI, whereas this client’s sensor table permits only up to 7200 or 10200 on two sensors and up to 16000 on PMW3389. Its public options disagree with the values its setter accepts.
The former edit is rejected; the latter value is absent from the available choices.
This can occur when: A PMW3212 device requests an advertised 12000 DPI option, or a PMW3389 user requests a supported 16000 DPI option from the option list.

- write the Y byte for slot 0 of an XY-independent stage
- reject debounce replies outside 4-16 ms
- derive offered lighting effects from the block's true size, not its padding
- offer the DPI choices of the sensor that was read
- match the picker filter by id only, since WebHID matches usagePage at top level
