Intent

Align the extension developer journey and contributor entry points with current Extension management v2 and observed behavior.

  • Use released Toolkit 0.5.0, wheel finalization, v2 Registry preview, and a local server that handles generated rewrites.
  • Correct shared Host dependency installation and content-based snapshot reuse.
  • Update peer selection/status commands, Registry links, and six Source guides.
  • Explain that released CLI 0.2.1 still calls the old endpoint; link the v2 correction in impl-py#153 and document installation from a reviewed checkout until a corrected release exists.
  • Clarify repository ownership, public dependency setup, and implementation scope versus release selection.

Primary scope: ecosystem. Release projects: none; website content changes.
Tracking issue: InKCre/.github#39.

Evidence

  • pnpm --dir website check passed.
  • The contributor guide matches the now-merged anonymous UI setup in impl-ts#171; a package token is no longer presented as a contribution prerequisite.
  • Released Toolkit 0.5.0 built and finalized an independent Source wheel and generated a v2 preview Registry; the documented local route handling worked.
  • Real Core/CLI with isolated disposable PostgreSQL completed selection, restart, enabling, collection, indexing, text retrieval, and graph inspection. A/A/B/A snapshot reuse, id-only changes, invalid-JSON recovery, and retained information after disable/unselect passed.
  • All six cited native releases returned 200 from the public v2 Registry.

Next action

Merged after the maintainer authorized tutorial delivery. The final source-install note directly links the still-pending CLI correction in impl-py#153. After that corrected CLI is published, update the temporary checkout instructions. Follow-up public self-hosting verification is available in docs#44; the smaller docs#45 independently adds community links to the contribution page.

Risk and rollback

Coordinate command migration with impl-py#153. Full Web UI and remote Web peer forwarding were not verified end to end. Reverting the documentation does not change persisted information.

Delivery effects

Merged as 7715641f333f2316d267cfbbd5cdda88a489cf13 after the final local website check, GitHub Website contract, and preview passed. The main deployment passed its exact-source build, production delivery, and website smoke test. No CLI/package publication, Registry mutation, or Spoke submodule-pointer update.

- 迁移 Peer 选择命令、Registry 链接并说明已发布 CLI 的版本缺口
- 补齐外部贡献路径与跨仓交付约束
- Preserve current main changes before reviewing contribution delivery.
- Replace obsolete private-package prerequisites with the verified public dependency path.
- Point readers to the v2 CLI candidate while the corrected package awaits release.
