What

Add knots-ui/knots to GUI, as the last entry of the list.

Knots is a cross-platform immediate-mode GUI library for Zig. You write the interface as Zig code and the same code runs on macOS, Windows and Linux (Wayland) with Vulkan or WebGPU rendering, and in the browser with WebGPU. The UI engine does not depend on a window system or a graphics API, so it can be embedded in another window or renderer. Documentation, a tutorial and a web playground are at https://knotsui.com.

Maintenance: created 2026-09-27, last commit 2026-10-05, 190 commits, 40 stars, MIT licence, not archived. There are no tagged releases yet, and the README lists known limitations (Wayland only on Linux, no complex text shaping).

A previous PR for Knots (#266) was closed by its author shortly after opening, following a bot comment about the No-AI label. This PR has no AI label.

Checklist

  • Entry is actively maintained and useful
  • Follows the awesome list style guide
  • Added to the end of the existing list (not inserted in the middle)
  • Ran make all locally before opening this PR

AI Attribution

Select one:

  • No-AI — no AI involvement
  • AI-generated — project is primarily generated by AI
  • AI-assisted — human-led with AI assistance

No AI label is added to the entry because there is no clear evidence either way. I checked the repository files and the full commit history for AI configuration files, co-author trailers and README statements and found none, but that does not establish that no AI was involved, and I have not asked the author. I can add a label if the author confirms.
