Hi, I'm Tejas Teke

Data Analyst | Python • SQL • Power BI • Machine Learning

Who am I?

I'm an MCA candidate at IMSCDR, Ahmednagar, with a passion for turning raw data into business insight. I enjoy digging past headline numbers to find the story underneath — whether that's spotting margin erosion hidden inside strong revenue growth, or automating a report that used to take hours.

What I really enjoy is chasing the "why" behind the data — why something is happening, what's driving it, and what could actually fix it. The numbers are just where I start; the interesting part is following them until they turn into something someone can act on.

What I did

Clinic Performance & Profitability Analysis | Power BI Analyzed 2,000 dental appointments generating $937,624 revenue and 20.5% profit margin. Identified Chicago's 4.11% margin as the lowest (avg. cost $456.02 vs $372.62 overall, wait time 49.2 min). Found a $61,340 NY–LA revenue gap despite similar volumes (556 vs 560), tied to treatment mix (228 vs 94 whitening appointments, 39.97% vs 10.09% margins for whitening vs cleaning). Found dentist profitability varying widely by location (D5 ranging 4.11%–27.44%), challenging simple dentist-level comparisons.

Retail Sales & Profitability Analysis | Python (Pandas/NumPy) Analyzed 5,900+ records and uncovered a 62% regional profit decline masked by strong sales growth.

Problem-Solving Practice Solved 80+ algorithmic challenges to strengthen problem-solving skills.

What I'm currently working on

  • Building interactive Power BI dashboards with Power Query and advanced DAX measures for KPI tracking, scorecards, and drill-through reporting
  • A data analysis project using SQL and Python, built around 5 core libraries — sqlite3, pandas, numpy, matplotlib, and seaborn — covering querying, data cleaning, analysis, and visualization end to end
  • Practicing machine learning fundamentals (classification, regression) with Scikit-learn, including data preprocessing and model evaluation
