Cloud setup now installs the dependencies of the branch a task runs on.

install records a hash of the bun.lock it installed. start compares the checked-out bun.lock with that record: when they match, nothing is installed; when they differ, it runs the same frozen install and updates the record, and a failed install stops startup with a clear message instead of running on the cached packages.

Tests cover the matching fast path, a changed lockfile, and a failed reinstall. The repository's own .agents/cloud-setup.sh is regenerated.

📝 Walkthrough

Cloud setup now records a root-owned stamp containing the bun.lock SHA-256 hash after installation. Start and session modes compare the current hash with the stamp and reinstall dependencies when the stamp is missing or differs.

Changes: Cloud dependency synchronisation

Layer / File(s) Summary
Dependency stamp and hash handling
.agents/cloud-setup.sh, packages/oxlint-config/src/cloud-setup.ts
Both setup scripts define repository-specific dependency state paths. They validate the root bun.lock and stamp, and record the lockfile hash after installation.
Lifecycle wiring and validation
.agents/cloud-setup.sh, packages/oxlint-config/src/cloud-setup.ts, packages/oxlint-config/src/cloud-setup.test.ts, .changeset/fuzzy-taxis-rest.md
Install mode records dependency state. Start and session modes synchronise dependencies. Tests cover matching and changed hashes, failed reinstalls, and lifecycle expectations. The changeset documents the patch release.

Cloud startup now reinstalls dependencies only when the lockfile hash changes. A failed install can leave the old hash in place, so a later startup may trust a partially changed dependency tree. The new tests also need root privileges, so they fail for ordinary non-root test runs. Both should be fixed before merge.
