Backend developer, Java / Spring Boot. Two years of work-study backend development, including one year in R&D at HMS Industrial Networks, building internal tools on an industrial cloud platform: self-service flows that let a support team work without developers, and a GDPR account deletion service on Spring Boot and RabbitMQ. IFAPME graduate, 2026.
I came to development after ten years in marketing, which mostly means I ask what the problem is before writing the first line.
Currently looking for a backend role in Belgium: Walloon Brabant, Hainaut, Brussels.
- matterhorn-backend: Spring Boot 4 REST API. Automated quotes for accounting firms from incoming emails: LLM extraction with provenance, deterministic pricing. 93 offline tests, CI on every commit. Start here.
- Earlier work: the-blog (Symfony API, Next.js frontend), syntinel (Python pipeline).
I also run a small self-hosted infrastructure on Debian (two hosts, Docker, self-hosted GitLab with CI), which is where most of my Linux and ops practice happens.
