These three keep what they store in plain files and open formats, so standard tools can still read it when the program that wrote it no longer exists.

• mailvault: Back up and archive mailboxes: plain IMAP, Gmail, Microsoft 365 over MS Graph, and Proton Mail through the Bridge. Each message is stored as its own .eml file, with no container and no database; a query database for searching is built when needed.
• immure: Rust library for content-addressed file storage. Each entry is named by the hash of its content and never changed after it is written, which gives deduplication and integrity checks without an index or a database; plain sha256sum can verify the store. Optional zstd compression and authenticated encryption.
• ossuary: A personal archive for files of any kind, together with what is known about them. A file is stored once, named by the hash of its content. What is known about it (origin, extracted metadata, your own tags and comments) is kept as an append-only record that is never rewritten. Built on immure. Still 0.x: commands and the format may change between releases.

Tools for the DocuWare document management system:

• docuware-client: Client library for the DocuWare REST API: search archives, transfer documents, edit index fields, read OCR text. Includes the dw-client command-line tool for everyday tasks.
• docuware-mcp: MCP server that gives LLM clients such as Claude Desktop access to DocuWare. Built on docuware-client.

• exhume: Resumable disk imaging and rescue tool, in the line of dd and ddrescue. --refresh rewrites only the blocks that changed, which saves write cycles on flash memory, and a readable state file lets an interrupted run continue.
• revenant: Atomic Btrfs snapshots of the Linux root filesystem, including the EFI partition, to go back to after a failed update.
• fifi: Finds identical files in directory trees. Runs in parallel, recognizes hardlinks, and has JSON output for scripts. Rust successor to duplicates.
• uwhat: Lists the USB devices of a Linux or macOS machine as a readable tree; an alternative to lsusb.

• viddeck: Shows a video collection as a library in the web browser, with chapter thumbnails and metadata, and plays the videos. Uses FFmpeg.
• jellyplex-sync: Keeps a Plex and a Jellyfin movie library in sync through hardlinks, so both use the same files on disk.
• media-toolbelt: Docker image with command-line tools for audio and video (ffmpeg, sox, flac, loudgain, MKVToolNix and others), for hosts like Unraid where installing software is impractical.
• exorcise: Removes the reader state that Calibre writes into EPUB files, and rebuilds the container to the OCF specification so every reader accepts it. The content of the book is not changed.

• dockdoe: Docker host monitor in a single binary, with a web UI: live CPU, memory and state of the containers, grouped by compose stack, and htop-style statistics of the host.
• filebridge: REST API for reading and writing files across service boundaries, for example between Docker containers, without shared volumes.
• monsta: Status and metrics REST endpoint for Python applications. Built for FastAPI and thread-safe, with declarative counters, samplers and holders for application state.
