What & Why

The preset's rangeStrategy: "pin" also applies to Poetry's [tool.poetry.dependencies] python, which is a supported-runtime declaration, not an installable dependency. Renovate proposed pinning python = "^3.13" → "3.15.2" in reqstool/reqstool-python-poetry-plugin#155 (and 3.14.7 earlier in #154). Merged, the plugin would refuse to install on 3.13 and 3.14. Pin updates automerge, so only an unrelated REUSE lint failure kept #155 from landing.

This adds a rangeStrategy: "replace" rule for the Poetry python dependency, next to the existing engines exception. Only the poetry plugin is affected today — the other Python repos declare PEP 621 requires-python, which isn't pinned.

reqstool/reqstool-python-poetry-plugin#155 will be closed as superseded.

Test Plan

  • validate-renovate (strict config validation) green
  • After merge, Renovate does not reopen a python pin PR on reqstool-python-poetry-plugin

rangeStrategy "pin" turned reqstool-python-poetry-plugin's `python = "^3.13"`
into an exact `3.15.2` (reqstool-python-poetry-plugin#155), which would refuse
installation on every other Python. Treat it like `engines`: replace the range
only when a new release falls outside it. Pins automerge, so only an unrelated
lint failure kept #155 from landing.
