I am an IT teacher based in Trancoso, Portugal, transitioning into systems administration. My practical focus is Linux, networking, Docker, self-hosting, computer hardware, and embedded systems.
I currently teach computer networks, operating systems, computer architecture, digital systems, data communications, and microprocessor programming at Escola Profissional de Trancoso. This is teaching and classroom lab experience; I do not present it as production systems administration.
AirSense is my primary independent project: an ESP32 indoor air quality monitor with environmental sensors, a custom PCB, a 3D-printed enclosure, InfluxDB, and Grafana. The work began as my Computer Engineering degree project and led to a peer-reviewed publication.
I run a personal Unraid home lab on standard desktop hardware. I use it to practise Docker service management, storage, network shares, backups, updates, and troubleshooting. It is a learning and self-hosting environment, not production infrastructure.
