Hi! I'm Rafael Fachinelli

I'm a Tech Lead and software engineer from Ferraz de Vasconcelos (SP), Brazil, currently a Tech Lead at Kruzer. I have more than five years of experience building digital products for large retail and commerce operations. I started in frontend and today I work from the interface to the backend, combining technical leadership with hands-on code.

At Leroy Merlin (via Develcode), I went from junior developer to Tech Lead and technically led an ecosystem of more than 40 microservices with Java/Spring Boot, React/Next.js, Google Cloud Platform, Datadog and GitHub Actions. I document decisions with ADRs and C4 diagrams, and I care about observability, quality and release discipline so the team can deliver predictably.

More about me

Before software, I worked in the industrial market as a machine operator, programming the cutting of parts at the start of a production line of almost 100 people.

I also worked with automation: I developed a patented, automated process for industrial sewing machines, triggering cuts to separate parts in 0.7 milliseconds with embedded programming in C and C++, which boosted production and avoided material waste.

I hold a degree in Systems Analysis and Development from FATEC and a technical diploma in Computing from ETEC. I was awarded 1st place at Ideathon and 2nd place at Inovathon São Paulo.
