Record the owner-requested default: version Changesets packages when the manual Release workflow runs, instead of maintaining a version PR that must be merged before release.
The entry covers the workflow order, dry-run summary, token and bypass requirements, push-trigger behavior, failure policy and changelog-review cost. Official GitHub and Changesets sources were checked on 2026-10-20; the text separates documented mechanics from our workflow choices. Includes a patch changeset. This repository's release workflow is unchanged.
