Oct-02-2026: Version 4.8.0

• Bug fix: the Born effective charges that phonopy-vasp-born read from vaspout.h5 were transposed. vaspout.h5 stores the Born effective charge tensor of each atom transposed relative to vasprun.xml, and phonopy did not transpose it back. The NAC parameters were wrong when a tensor is not symmetric. This bug was present since v4.4.0.
• IRREPS_SYMMETRY_ADAPTED tag (--irreps-symmetry-adapted, and symmetry_adapted of Phonopy.run_irreps). When it is on, the degenerate bands in the IRREPS calculation are found from the representation of the little group of q, and not from how close their frequencies are. The default is off. See {ref}symmetry_adapted_modes.
• phonors 0.6.0 or later is required.
