What changed

Dev dependencies to their newest minor and patch releases (the plugin declares no runtime dependencies, so the packed tarball is unaffected):

Package From To
@module-federation/vite 1.23.5 1.23.7
@nestjs/common, @nestjs/core, @nestjs/testing 12.2.0 12.3.2
@openbrf/plugin-sdk 1.0.0 1.6.0
@openbrf/theme-tools 1.0.0 1.1.0
@types/node 26.6.5 26.6.6
i18next 26.5.2 26.6.0
react-i18next 17.1.0 17.1.9
vite 8.3.4 8.3.5

Runtimes: pnpm 12.14.0 to 12.16.1 (packageManager), Node 26.12.1 to 26.13.0 (.nvmrc; 26.13.0 is newer than the Brotli fix in 26.12.1).

GitHub Actions were already pinned by full SHA and are unchanged.

Code changes the update needed

  • test/fake-host.ts: @openbrf/plugin-sdk 1.6.0 added members to PluginHost and its services (writeSecret, addressBook.caller, actions.propose and actions.client, lastName and nameInBuilding on a resident, and sixteen further services). The fake host adds them and, as before, every member the plugin does not use refuses.
  • README.md: said @openbrf/plugin-sdk 1.0.0 ignores processing, so check:package did not check it. With 1.6.0 it does (a bad legalBasis fails the check), so the sentence now says so.
  • pnpm-workspace.yaml: removed the minimumReleaseAgeExclude entries for NestJS 12.2.0, which nothing installs any more.

Scorecard findings fixed

Vulnerabilities (2/10 on the default branch): eight undici advisories (GHSA-2m5v-pch6-74hx, GHSA-4qv8-2p9j-2685, GHSA-4w7w-5xrc-9h26, GHSA-55wc-3pg8-jfw6, GHSA-9fm3-97px-rjf6, GHSA-f72v-6w45-q472, GHSA-qrxm-fqhp-jwvm, GHSA-xjj6-f33q-929c) through @module-federation/vite > @module-federation/dts-plugin, which pins undici 7.29.1 exactly. Fixed in 7.30.1, so a pnpm override scoped to @module-federation/dts-plugin>undici takes it. pnpm audit now reports no known vulnerabilities.

Held back

Nothing.

Available majors

None. Every dev dependency is on the latest major; Node 27 exists only as an alpha.

Checks run

  • pnpm install --frozen-lockfile (from a clean node_modules)
  • pnpm typecheck
  • pnpm test (builds, then 6 files, 53 tests pass)
  • pnpm check:package
  • pnpm audit

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Clarified how the processing field is handled by older instances and how package checks validate it.
  • Chores
    • Updated the required Node.js and pnpm versions, along with several development tools and libraries.
    • Adjusted package resolution and release-age settings for selected dependencies.
    • Strengthened test-host behavior for unsupported service calls.

Update the dev dependencies to their newest minor and patch releases, pnpm to 12.16.1 and Node to 26.13.0. Override undici under @module-federation/dts-plugin to 7.30.1, which fixes eight advisories the plugin's exact pin leaves open. Teach the test host the services plugin-sdk 1.6.0 added, and update the README, which said the SDK ignored processing.

The pull request updates Node.js, pnpm, development dependencies, and workspace configuration. It revises the README’s statement about processing validation and updates fake-host resident fixtures and service mocks.

Changes: Repository updates

Layer / File(s) Summary
Toolchain, dependencies, and processing statement
.nvmrc, package.json, pnpm-workspace.yaml, README.md
Node.js and pnpm versions and listed development dependencies change. The workspace adds an undici override for @module-federation/dts-plugin and removes the NestJS release-age exclusions. The README now says pre-ADR 0035 instances ignore processing and that pnpm check:package validates it with the repository’s SDK version.
Fake-host fixtures and service mocks
test/fake-host.ts
Resident fixtures gain lastName and nameInBuilding. The fake host adds rejecting mocks for settings.writeSecret, addressBook.caller, actions.propose, actions.client, and unused service namespaces.

README.md:148
Minor · Data Integrity & Integration · Quick win

Correct the catalog processing instruction.

The openbrf/catalog check compares the entry’s processing declaration with the manifest. An author who omits it following this instruction can have the listing rejected. State that the declaration must match. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

As per path instructions: “flag a table or step that no longer matches package.json, the code or the workflow.”

@coderabbitai Outside-diff finding on README.md:148 (catalog processing instruction): valid, fixed in 9d5430d. The catalog's check/listing.mjs compares the entry's processing with the manifest's (data subjects as a set), so the README now says the entry repeats processing whole and only the order of its data subjects may differ, instead of saying it is not compared yet.

@neeo Confirmed in 9d5430d: README.md, Line 148 now requires the complete processing value to match the manifest, except for data-subject order. This addresses the documentation finding.

Learning: Within repository "openbrf/example-plugin", only for files matching one of ["README.md"]: When reviewing catalog submission instructions in README.md, check that they require the catalog entry to repeat the manifest's complete processing value. Only data-subject order may differ; do not describe processing as unchecked by the catalog.
