Fixes #24414

Clause-②: yes (widening)

Dev session session_01AQxxbsMRiqgkrsU3Xd54yE, dispatched by the domain:engine seat 1 PM (session_01JtSQQ3EWsbNPzyYMug1tXy, claim 6259485251). Owes one CONTRACT_REVIEW_TIER review of record before the queue.

What changed

  • packages/formula standard library: current_user.hasCapability(name), registered beside can, receiver-only (a bare hasCapability(name) names no subject and does not resolve, exactly as a bare can does). It answers from the acting subject's held system capabilities: the systemPermissions list GET /api/v1/auth/me/permissions returns, which is the list the action gate checks requiredPermissions against (ADR-0066 D4).
    • held: true; not held: false; empty list: false (a real answer).
    • no list on the context: throws (ok: false, kind: 'runtime'), the way can() does. Also throws on a non-list, a non-string or empty name, and a receiver that is not the acting subject.
    • a name no action declares is just a string. No registry lookup.
    • can(object, verb) with an out-of-vocabulary verb still throws; its message now also names current_user.hasCapability('NAME') for a capability question. No new error code.
  • The subject contract. EvalContext gains systemPermissions?: EvalSystemPermissions (a list of names, the published field verbatim), and PermissionBinding gains the same field (optional, so existing constructors still compile). celEngine.evaluate pins it into the binding beside permissions. Like permissions, it is not mounted as a CEL variable.
  • The save door's lint. No code change was needed: validateVisibilityPredicates' unknown-function arm asks formula's firstUnknownFunctionCall, whose oracle is the evaluation environment itself (ruling on lint: validate-visibility-predicates passes unknown CEL functions clean (the validateExpression premise is falsified) — ruled: extend to function-existence ERROR, scoped supersession of the parse-only ruling #13594, never a name list). Registering the function admits it. Pinned on a page component visibleWhen, beside a control (hasCapabilities, still refused as visibility-predicate-unknown-function).
  • Docs. The page component visibleWhen describe (packages/spec/src/ui/page.zod.ts) names current_user.hasCapability('NAME') as the way to gate a component on a capability, says it reads the list the action gate reads (never a can(...) proxy), says a host that binds no list makes it fault (and a faulting predicate renders the component), and keeps ADR-0066 D4: visibleWhen hides, requiredPermissions refuses. content/docs/references/ui/page.mdx regenerated by check:generated --fix (only artifact it proved stale).
  • Changeset .changeset/24414-capability-predicate.md: @objectstack/formula minor, @objectstack/spec patch (describe text only), carrying the Clause-② line.

Where the subject contract really lives (measured, so the file surface moved)

The claim's packages/core/src/evaluator/subjectPermissions.ts does not exist on origin/main (git ls-files | grep -i subjectPerm = 0 hits; packages/core/src has no evaluator/ directory). The evaluator subject is EvalContext (packages/formula/src/types.ts) plus PermissionBinding (packages/formula/src/stdlib.ts), so the field landed there. @objectstack/core is untouched, so it gets no changeset.

Server-side binders of the subject, and which supply the list today

Every server-side binder that passes object permissions into EvalContext is in @objectstack/objectql: engine.ts permissionResolution feeds CEL defaultValues, option visibleWhen gates and formula fields, and validation/rule-validator.ts feeds validation rules (permissions: on evaluateValidationRules). None supplies systemPermissions today, so hasCapability in a server-evaluated predicate throws loudly until a binder supplies it. The page surface's binder is objectui's (the objectui card the ruling filed), not this PR.

Verification

All on head d347ecd10 (after merging origin/main at ec951e29e) unless noted.

  • pnpm --filter @objectstack/formula test: 48 files, 1344 tests passed. New file src/capability-predicate.test.ts pins held / not held / empty list / list absent (throws) / undeclared name is just a string / every ADR-0068 alias / off-shape list / wrong receiver / non-string name / bare call / existence oracle (with an invented-sibling control) / validateExpression('predicate', …) ok / the can message pointer.
  • pnpm --filter @objectstack/lint test: 145 files, 6867 tests passed (the new page-predicate pin included).
  • typecheck exit 0: @objectstack/formula, @objectstack/lint, @objectstack/spec, and the subject type's consumers @objectstack/core, @objectstack/metadata-protocol, @objectstack/objectql, @objectstack/plugin-security.
  • Reverse verification of the cross-package type (consumer reads the rebuilt .d.ts): a scratch file in packages/objectql/src with systemPermissions: [1] gave TS2322: Type 'number' is not assignable to type 'string', the string form compiled; file removed, tree clean.
  • Ablation (lint pin reads formula through dist/): the registered signature renamed to hasCapabilityZZ via scripts/ablation-replace.mjs (anchor 1 to 0, blob 83bc57b0907c to 463e76c9182b), formula rebuilt, ablation-dist-preflight marker present in 2 built files, lint pin red (1 failed / 195). Restored (blob equal to HEAD, git diff HEAD empty), rebuilt, preflight --absent over 6 built files, pin green (196 passed).
  • pnpm --filter @objectstack/spec check:generated: all 14 artifacts up to date.
  • Gates: node scripts/pm/dispatch-gates.mjs --commands --repo objectstack-ai/objectstack (no paths) derived 112 commands on d347ecd10; every line run, exit captured before any pipe; 112 exit 0. --ran reconciliation: "112 derived, 112 run, 0 NOT-MEASURED, 0 UNRUN" (a derived zero, every line carried its exit code). Two families first exited 3 (prerequisite) on the earlier head and were built for and re-run, not left unmeasured: check:skill-examples (built @objectstack/client-react) and check:dual-build-cjs-loads (full turbo run build). History deepened first (--shallow-since=2026-07-13).
  • Not run locally: test:repo (CI's Test Core); the repo-wide pnpm lint (CI).

Acceptance notes

  • The runtime page save door does not run the visibility rule. validateVisibilityPredicates declares runtimeTypes: ['view'], so runtimeAuthoringRulesFor('page') is validatePresetComparands, validateComponentProps, validateComponentTypes, validatePrintPageBlocks; a lint-level probe of those four on a page visibleWhen of totallyBogusFn(1) drew no function-existence finding. So the door this PR admits the predicate at is the CLI one (os validate / os lint / os build, commands: ALL), which is what the pin measures. Not measured through a booted HTTP save.
  • skills/objectstack-formula/SKILL.md is not edited (it documents bare-callable catalog functions; can is not in it either, and skills/** is a Tier H surface). hasCapability is receiver-only, so the catalog drift pin (bare-callables) does not move.
  • objectui's binding of systemPermissions into page predicates is the objectui card the ruling filed; until it lands, a page visibleWhen calling hasCapability faults and the component renders (fail-open, stated in the describe).

📓 Docs Drift Check

This PR changes 2 package(s): @objectstack/formula, @objectstack/spec, touching 15 documentable anchor(s). ⚠️ 1 changed file(s) yielded no anchor (packages/formula/src/index.ts), so the pages documenting them are NOT COVERED by this run — this is not a clean bill of health for those files.

17 hand-written doc(s) name something this change touched — list omitted above 15 rows. Re-derive on the tree named below: node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --json 45bec43cd981684906a0b4c1a8e15d08ca9ec09f.

⛔ 10 release-owned page(s) also affected — read-only, see AGENTS.md Documentation Guardrails.

What this run could not see
  • 1 changed file(s) yielded no anchor (packages/formula/src/index.ts) — pages documenting those are invisible to this run
  • 1 name(s) were too generic to anchor anything (single lowercase words)
  • the SDK route bridge reached 54 of 206 client-bound route-ledger rows — the other 152 have no registrar path: tail to select them, so pages documenting THEIR client methods cannot appear above, on this or any run. Of those 152: 0 are remediable by widening that discovery convention (an in-repo file declares the path; the convention did not scan it); 55 are structural — on a ledger where NOT ONE row is declared in-repo, so no discovery change reaches them at any price; 97 are undecided (no in-repo declaration, on a ledger that has other in-repo registrars — absence and an unreadable spelling are not distinguishable here). The rows themselves: node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --bridge-coverage
  • a page that states a rule by its inputs shares no identifier with the emitter that implements the rule, so an emitter-only diff cannot list it — not on this run and not on any run. Measured on fix(driver-sql): emit varchar(maxLength) for a text field a declared index keys on #11430: content/docs/protocol/objectql/types.mdx documents the text-family column mapping by the ObjectQL type names it maps FROM (text / textarea / html) while the diff changed createColumn; it went unlisted, and it was the page that diff falsified, in four places. No shared token exists to detect this on, so a rule your change carries has to be re-read by hand in the pages that restate it.
  • a key NAME is not a key, so the hand re-read the line above prescribes can land on the wrong schema. The same spelling is authorable on one governed type and a [REMOVED] tombstone on another for each of active, aria, joins, objects, template, tools and version (censused on [finding] tools is a key on BOTH AgentSchema (tombstoned, dead) and SkillSchema (live, cloud-attested), so a name-based search attributes skill examples to the agent key — it produced a false stop-the-line alarm on PR #19059 #19093 over the liveness ledger's governed types, top-level keys); nothing in a search result distinguishes the two, so a grep hit on a LIVE example reads as evidence about the DEAD key. Measured on fix(spec): the agent.tools liveness row says dead — it claimed live on a key the schema tombstoned #19059: content/docs/ai/agents.mdx was reported as contradicting the agent.tools tombstone over its tools: example at :161, which is inside the defineSkill({ block opened at :155 — the page was already correct. Settle ownership by PARSING the value against both schemas, never by the name: that literal PASSES SkillSchema, and as an AgentSchema it FAILS at tools with the tombstone prescription. ⛔ These names are not the whole class — a key retired through a .strict() guidance map leaves no tombstone in the walked shape and none of them here (tool.category, live as AIToolDefinition.category).

Coarse fallback — 144 page(s) merely mention a changed package (the pre-#9192 predicate, kept for the deliberately-wide backstop): node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --json 45bec43cd981684906a0b4c1a8e15d08ca9ec09f → packageMentionDocs.

Which tree this was computed on

This run read content/docs from 906cfd34faeab16fdd879006996b1382800b69cb — the merge of head 1a3f686027301ca2d066a6f83ffff0b9e6a49f7d into base 45bec43cd981684906a0b4c1a8e15d08ca9ec09f, which is what actions/checkout gives a pull_request run. Not the PR head.

A worktree cut from an older main holds a different content/docs, so re-deriving there can legitimately return a different list — that is a different tree, not a wrong row. To answer on the same tree:

# while this PR is open — GitHub drops the merge commit once it closes
git fetch origin 906cfd34faeab16fdd879006996b1382800b69cb && git checkout 906cfd34faeab16fdd879006996b1382800b69cb
# afterwards, rebuild it from the two parents, which stay fetchable
git fetch origin 45bec43cd981684906a0b4c1a8e15d08ca9ec09f 1a3f686027301ca2d066a6f83ffff0b9e6a49f7d && git checkout -B drift-repro 45bec43cd981684906a0b4c1a8e15d08ca9ec09f && git merge --no-ff 1a3f686027301ca2d066a6f83ffff0b9e6a49f7d

node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs --json 45bec43cd981684906a0b4c1a8e15d08ca9ec09f

⚠️ That checkout carried uncommitted changes, so the commit above does not fully identify what was read.

Advisory only, and a precision-first one (#9192): a page is listed because it names a
symbol, wire route or SDK method this diff touched — not because it mentions a changed
package. Each row says which anchor put it there, so a wrong row is reportable rather than
merely annoying. To re-verify, run the docs-accuracy-audit workflow scoped to these files:
node scripts/docs-audit/affected-docs.mjs 45bec43cd981684906a0b4c1a8e15d08ca9ec09f → pass the list as
args.docs, on the commit named under Which tree this was computed on.

① Derived judgments

The predicate current_user.hasCapability(name) — accept set, judged right.

  • Receiver-only: registered as dyn.hasCapability(dyn): bool (registerCapabilityPredicate, stdlib.ts), the same form can takes; a bare call faults in cel-js as a call-form fault, pinned (capability-predicate.test.ts "a bare hasCapability(name) names no subject"). Right: one subject-binding mechanism for both permission predicates, identity-checked (receiver !== binding.subject throws).
  • Held → true, not held → false, empty list → false: held.includes(name) over the bound list; pinned in both directions and for the empty list.
  • Absent list → throws; off-shape list → throws; wrong receiver → throws; non-string or empty name → throws; all reported as ok: false, kind: 'runtime'. Pinned per arm, each pin asserting the fault message and ok === false (never a quiet false).
  • No registry lookup: the body consults nothing but binding.systemPermissions; pinned with an undeclared name answered true when held and false when not.
  • "Empty → false beside absent → throws" is right. It is can's own pair (empty map → false, absent map → throws, permission-predicate.test.ts:132/146), and it is the published list's own semantics: /auth/me/permissions serves systemPermissions: [] as the closed "holds nothing" answer and OMITS the key only on the deliberate degraded branch where the server enforces nothing (current-user-endpoints.ts closedMePermissionsGrants, mePermissionsBody); objectui's useCapabilityGate reads an absent array as unknown (fail open) and an empty array as "holds nothing". The predicate's two-valued treatment of the same two states is the honest mirror; the one difference — the predicate THROWS where the client gate fails open — lands the viewer in the same place (a faulting page predicate renders the component), and the describe says so.
  • Same data, same normalisation, same aliases as the action gate — verified, with two structural residuals named. The server gate is actionPermissionError (packages/runtime/src/action-execution.ts:677): new Set(ec.systemPermissions ?? []), required.filter(p = not in set), exact string membership, no case folding, no alias table, no wildcard. The predicate is held.includes(name): exact string membership, no normalisation. ADR-0068's aliases (user, ctx.user, os.user) are aliases of the RECEIVER object, not of capability names, and are the same object by identity, so the identity check admits them; pinned for all four roots. ec.systemPermissions is authz.systemPermissions (assemble-execution-context.ts:332), folded in resolve-authz-context.ts from the held set bodies (foldCatalogSetBodies) plus, for a configured platform administrator, ADMIN_FULL_ACCESS_CAPABILITIES.systemPermissions pushed by name (:1655). /auth/me/permissions unions systemPermissions over resolvePermissionSetsForContext(execCtx), which resolves the names in context.permissions — the same names the fold pushed, admin_full_access included, and plugin-security seeds that set by spreading the same spec constant (default-permission-sets.ts:393-403). So for a platform administrator who is a plain organisation member, the page predicate and the action gate read one list with one content — exactly the divergence the can('sys_environment','edit') proxy showed and this predicate closes. A capability granted through a permission set reaches both the same way (set body → fold / union).
Residuals, neither introduced here and neither a page viewer: (a) actionPermissionError bypasses on ec.isSystem; a page has no system viewer. (b) An OAuth agent principal (ADR-0090 D10) has ec.systemPermissions replaced with its ceiling ([] unless delegatesActions, then the human's list), while /auth/me/permissions for that context unions the agent's restricted sets, which declare no capabilities; when delegatesActions is on, the gate reads the human's list and the endpoint answers []. Pages are not rendered by agents, and which list a host binds is the host's (objectui's binding card). (c) Latent, pre-existing on main: the security plugin's additive baseline set is applied at set resolution (what /auth/me/permissions unions) but resolveUserAuthzGrants says it does not fold it (resolve-authz-context.ts:1209); the default baseline member_default declares no systemPermissions (default-permission-sets.ts:676-1233, the only explicit list in that file is organization_admin at :487), so no live divergence today; a deployment whose configured baseline set declares capabilities would publish a name the server gate does not read. Not this PR's to fix; named for the lane (see ③).

The subject contract — judged right.

  • EvalContext.systemPermissions?: EvalSystemPermissions (ReadonlyArray of string) and PermissionBinding.systemPermissions?: EvalSystemPermissions | undefined, both optional; celEngine.evaluate pins ctx.systemPermissions into the binding beside permissions and does not mount it as a CEL variable, so the function stays the only door — the terms permissions already has.
  • An existing consumer's typecheck cannot break: both fields are optional additions; PermissionBinding literals without the field still satisfy the interface; readers see undefined. CI TypeScript Type Check (every spec gate, workspace, consumer and source gates) is success on this head; the dev also typechecked the subject's consumers and did a reverse TS2322 probe. The published shape is taken verbatim (GetEffectivePermissionsResponseSchema.systemPermissions: z.array(z.string()), protocol.zod.ts; ExecutionContext.systemPermissions: z.array(z.string()).optional(), execution-context.zod.ts:320), so the type is the contract's own, not a re-spelling.
  • The field has no toEvalX door the way permissions has toEvalPermissions; the shape check (Array.isArray and every entry a string) runs inside the predicate per call and refuses loudly. Right for a flat list of names: the door eval-permissions.ts argues for exists because an object-permission map has a shape a caller can mis-build; a string list has none to mis-build, and the per-call scan is O(n) over a handful of names, not the schema walk that header warns against.
  • Server-side binders supply no list today — verified: zero systemPermissions hits in packages/objectql/src non-test source. engine.ts permissionResolution (:6138) resolves permissions only, and only when a predicate calls can (optionVisibilityReadsPermissions / readsPermissionPredicate); rule-validator.ts EvaluateRulesOptions.permissions (:399-417) carries the map only. So hasCapability in a validation rule, a CEL defaultValue, an option visibleWhen or a formula field faults with "carries no capability list" — loud, never a silent false, and the honest answer there (ADR-0137 D2's refusal shape, the same can gives when its map is missing). Right that the binders are not wired here: no server predicate calls it, the ruling's consumer is the page surface, and objectql is outside the claim's fence.

The lint — judged right, oracle verified. validateVisibilityPredicates' unknown-function arm (validate-visibility-predicates.ts:1128) asks firstUnknownFunctionCall, whose membership set is buildEnv(...).getDefinitions().functions — the same constructor celEngine.compile and celEngine.evaluate use (unknown-function.ts, ruling on #13594 refinement 1: the oracle is the engine's registration set, never CEL_STDLIB_FUNCTIONS). registerStdLib registers hasCapability UNCONDITIONALLY, binding or not, so the publish-time verdict and the runtime resolution cannot disagree. The pin on a PAGE component visibleWhen with an invented-sibling control (hasCapabilities still refused at error) is the right pin; the dev's dist-ablation turned it red and back. Is the oracle the same set at every save door? For os validate / os lint / os build: yes — the rule row is commands: ALL, surfaces: CLI_AND_RUNTIME. For the RUNTIME save door of a page: the rule row carries runtimeTypes: ['view'] (authoring-rules.ts:1594), and runtimeAuthoringRulesFor(type) filters on exactly that (runtime-gate.ts:568), so a page written through Studio / REST /meta / MCP is judged by none of the visibility-predicate family — the dev's out-of-scope finding is correct as read from the registry, and it is PRE-EXISTING (the row predates this PR; the #7220 comment block above it explains the move onto view and even states the rule reads stack.pages). This PR changes what the oracle ADMITS, not which door asks it; at the one door that asks for a page (the CLI), the predicate is admitted, and that is the door the pin measures. Judged below as a filing matter, not a defect of this PR.

The describe — judged truthful and complete for the key it edits. PageComponentSchema.visibleWhen now says: write current_user.hasCapability('NAME') with the name the gated action's requiredPermissions declares; it answers from the viewer's systemPermissions, the list the action gate reads, never a can(...) proxy; a host that binds no list makes it fault and a faulting predicate renders the component; ADR-0066 D4: visibleWhen hides, requiredPermissions refuses. Every sentence is true against the code read above (actionPermissionError reads systemPermissions; D4 text in docs/adr/0066-unified-authorization-model.md:71-74). The sentence was inserted after the data root sentences and before the page:tabs warning, so the mounted-roots sentence expression-scope-data-root.pin.test.ts reads is intact (Test Core green). content/docs/references/ui/page.mdx is the only other carrier of this describe (both occurrences regenerated; grep over packages/spec and content/docs finds no third copy). Left unedited: nav visible (app.zod.ts:369), action.visible (action.zod.ts:1490), the page:tabs item visibleWhen (component.zod.ts:979), and the view-form visibleWhens. None of them now says anything untrue — they simply do not name the predicate. action.visible should not: an action already declares requiredPermissions and naming the predicate there invites a duplicate gate. The nav visible is the one worth a follow-up: a navigation entry is a page-node-like surface an author gates on a capability, and if cloud#3036's settings rows are nav entries, that is the describe their author reads. A docs-only follow-up, not a blocker — the predicate works on any surface whose host binds the list, and the describe carries nothing false.

② Semver level

  • @objectstack/formula: minor — right. New public function on the standard library (an accept-set widening of every CEL predicate surface), two new exports (registerCapabilityPredicate, EvalSystemPermissions), a new optional field on two published types. No formula api-surface baseline exists to regenerate (none under packages/formula); the stdlib drift pin re-measures and asserts only that receiver-only names stay out of the bare-callable catalog, so a new receiver-only name is absorbed, and CEL_STDLIB_FUNCTIONS and skills/objectstack-formula/SKILL.md (a Tier H surface) rightly do not move — neither lists can either.
  • @objectstack/spec: patch — honest. The one hunk is .describe() text on an existing optional key: no schema shape, no new authorable key, no export change; check:generated proved only page.mdx stale and CI's spec gates are green. The changeset gate's own quantifier (at least one package whose src/** moved graded minor or above under a Clause-②: yes PR, check-changeset-no-major.mjs [finding] Check Changeset's clause-② level rule is PR-scoped but the fact it judges is package-scoped — a PR that widens package A is refused for grading package B patch, where B only received a comment #16361 block) is satisfied by formula; its named residual (a second widened package graded patch) does not apply because spec's surface did not widen.
  • @objectstack/core: rightly untouched. packages/core/src/evaluator/ and any subjectPermissions* file are absent on origin/main (git ls-tree 0 hits); the evaluator subject is EvalContext + PermissionBinding in formula, so the card's path was a premise error the dev corrected by measurement. No core changeset is owed.
  • Clause-②: yes (widening) is present verbatim on both carriers — the changeset body and the PR body — and matches the diff: a widening, nothing narrowed. can's accept set is unchanged (same verbs, same throws); its out-of-vocabulary message gained a pointer sentence, which narrows nothing. Check Changeset is success on this head.

③ Boundary flags

Dev deviations, each answered:

  1. File surface moved to packages/formula — accepted; the card's path does not exist (verified above) and the field landed where the subject type lives. The claim's "and @objectstack/core if the subject type changes" is the conditional that did not fire.
  2. No lint source change — accepted; the oracle is the environment (verified in unknown-function.ts), so the declared "known-function set" edit was never owed; the pin is the right artifact. The domain:spec declarations 6259499592 / 6259504172 named a lint edit that turned out unnecessary — nothing to object to, no lint path is in the diff.
  3. Only the page component describe edited — accepted with a follow-up: the nav visible describe (app.zod.ts:369) is the one other page-node surface worth naming the predicate on; docs-only, patch-level, for the lane or domain:spec (whose serial note 6259781597 already tracks concurrent describe edits on page.zod.ts from spec page.zod.ts: ElementApiDataSourceSchema still describes itself as "[PLANNED — not yet rendered]" and visibleWhen says no renderer reads the binding, but the console renders both (objectui#12197) #24300 and app.zod.ts from PR feat(spec): a navigation entry may declare one API data source, which its visible reads as data #24427; whichever lands second merges and keeps both sentences — this head already merged origin/main twice).
  4. Trailers — in order. All five work commits (c827e8b529 through e75a7fbd8a) carry exactly the model-free trailer pair AGENTS.md prescribes — the co-author line with no model name, and the session line naming session_01AQxxbsMRiqgkrsU3Xd54yE; the amend was of an unpublished commit; no published history was rewritten.
  5. Detached primary checkout — a discipline deviation, declared, no damage shown. Switching HEAD on the shared /home/user/objectstack checkout is the very motion Prime Directive Migrate documentation site to Fumadocs with monorepo structure and shared content #11 warns about, even with no file edited there; the cleaner shape is a worktree on a differently named local branch, or git worktree add --detach then git checkout -B inside the worktree. Note for the lane; not a contract matter. (The primary's HEAD has since been switched again by another session, which is the hazard in evidence.)
  6. cloud#3036 and the objectui card not read — accepted; the dev's GitHub scope was this repository, the ruling was taken as the card quotes it, and this review did the same by brief.
  7. Seven pushes — in order; pushing WIP before every long step is the rule, and none was forced.

open_questions, each answered:

  • Receiver-only vs bare — A (receiver-only) is right: it is can's form, the subject is named at the call, the identity check works, and a bare form would either need a second subject binding or answer about nobody; the bare spelling keeps faulting as a call-form fault, so no second dialect exists.
  • Field name systemPermissions — A is right: it is the published response key (GetEffectivePermissionsResponseSchema) and the ExecutionContext key verbatim, exactly as permissions mirrors objects; a new vocabulary (capabilities) would be a rename an author can get wrong and a second name for one list.
  • Server binders not wired — A is right for this card: no server-evaluated predicate calls it, the ruling's consumer is the page surface, objectql is outside the claim's fence, and until a binder supplies the list the server answer is a loud fault, not a silent false. When a server predicate needs it, the wiring point is engine.ts permissionResolution (which would also need a readsCapabilityPredicate sibling of readsPermissionPredicate, since today the resolver is asked only when can is in the source).

out_of_scope_findings — the runtime save door and page: verified and it meets a filing gate. Evidence is contract text, not a hunch: the registry row validateVisibilityPredicates declares surfaces: CLI_AND_RUNTIME, runtimeTypes: ['view'] (authoring-rules.ts:1588-1596) while its own comment block states the rule reads stack.pages; runtimeAuthoringRulesFor('page') therefore excludes the whole visibility-predicate family, so a page visibleWhen calling an unregistered function is admitted through Studio / REST /meta / MCP and refused only by the CLI. Prime Directive #10 names "a metadata-authoring trap" with its evidence as the filing bar, and a registry row is evidence; a booted repro is not required to file (the card can ask for one). The dev's "carrier: none, noted in Acceptance notes only" under-files it: it should be a card for the lint lane (the family moves as one wall per the #7220 comment, so the fix is runtimeTypes: ['view', 'page'] on both entries plus the wiring pin). Escalated to the dispatching seat to file; not this PR's defect and not a reason to hold it.

Residual named in ① for the lane, not for this PR: the latent baseline-set divergence between /auth/me/permissions' union and ec.systemPermissions' fold (resolve-authz-context.ts:1209); not live under the default member_default, so a measured repro on a configured baseline set should precede a card.

Head: 1a3f686027 (fix round 1, report 6262736132): a merge of main past 01fafdee23 (#24460), which rewrote the same PageComponentSchema.visibleWhen describe line.

Item Reading
Net diff, seat's own read Against its base, the PR's net file list on 1a3f686027 equals the one on d347ecd105. Per file, the net patch is byte-identical except two paths.
packages/spec/src/ui/page.zod.ts The head's visibleWhen describe is exactly main's new describe with this PR's one capability sentence inserted, verbatim and unchanged. It sits where it sat before: after "…and the element's visibleWhen is decided once the read answers." and before the page:tabs warning. Checked by string equality. main's data-root sentences are kept as #24460 wrote them.
content/docs/references/ui/page.mdx Regenerated by the tooling. Its two describe occurrences each gain that sentence and nothing else.
Record The PR's own contribution to the one schema-face path is the same sentence the CONTRACT_REVIEW_TIER record 6261910322 (PASS) judged true. It is true beside main's new data sentences too: it names a capability gate, not a data read. So the record carries to this head.
Landing ACCEPT and the ordinary queue once CI on 1a3f686027 is read green.

Head: 1a3f686027 (the predicate, the subject field, the describe, the pins, then a merge of main past #24460 with the describe resolved). Card #24414 (p1, target:v18, area:access), claim 6259485251, dispatch 6259565955. Dev reports: 6261064791, fix round 6262736132.

Item Reading
Shape Draft PR → main. The body opens Fixes #24414. 9 files. Not governed.
Scope current_user.hasCapability(name) is registered in packages/formula's standard library beside can(). It is receiver-only and answered from EvalContext.systemPermissions (a new optional field, EvalSystemPermissions); a subject with no list faults loudly. The lint admits it with no source change (its oracle is the evaluation environment). The page component's visibleWhen describe names it. @objectstack/core is untouched, since the card's subjectPermissions.ts does not exist.
Seat's own read The server action gate reads new Set(ec.systemPermissions ?? []), and the predicate reads the same list by exact membership. The lint oracle is buildEnv, the environment compile and evaluate use.
Review CONTRACT_REVIEW_TIER record of record 6261910322, PASS on d347ecd105. It carries to this head (delta 6262850662: the describe is main's new text plus the PR's sentence, verbatim).
Declaration Clause-②: yes (widening) on the claim, the PR body and the changeset (@objectstack/formula minor, @objectstack/spec patch).
Cross-lane domain:spec 6259499592, 6259504172 and addendum 6261919080, 6261923828; domain:devx 6261928398, 6261933255 (the generated page.mdx).
Gates Dev, on 1a3f686027: 112 derived, 112 run, 112 exit 0.
CI At this read on 1a3f686027: every check completed, none failed.

Disposition:

Landing: ordinary queue (pr_ready + automerge_enable through the relay). Fixes #24414 then closes the card. The objectui binding card and cloud#3036 consume it next.
