This is a personal fork of the caption bundle by Axel Sommerfeldt
(https://gitlab.com/axelsommerfeldt/caption). It is not an official
release and not on CTAN. Branches:

The upstream version plus bug fixes for upstream issues #82, #147,
#171, #177, #181 and #184 (the fix for #184 has since been merged
upstream). Each fix is also available as a separate branch.
caption-v3.7
fixes-combined plus support for tagged PDF (\DocumentMetadata).
poc-caption4
Experiments with what caption needs from the LaTeX kernel, and
proposals for kernel interfaces so that caption no longer redefines
\caption, \@caption and \@xfloat: see poc/PROPOSALS.md there.
poc-b2
caption using the proposed interfaces. It needs a kernel built from
branch b2-split of https://github.com/mark-vis/latex2e.
poc-kernel-interfaces
The same for an earlier version of the proposals (kernel branch
poc-kernel-interfaces of that repository).

Note:
Although the maintenance status is still "maintained" this package
is basically unmaintained since I will neither do bugfixes nor implement
new features. I will just finish the new documentation and will mark
it as "unmaintained" afterwards.

contribute to the new documentation (if desirable).

The `caption' package v3.6 offers customization of captions of floating
environments such `figure' and `table' and cooperates with the packages
float, floatflt, fltpage, hyperref, hypcap, listings, longtable,
picinpar, picins, rotating, sidecap, subfigure, supertabular,
threeparttable, wrapfig, and xtab.
Furthermore the `floatrow', the `subcaption', and the `subfig' package
supports the `caption' package and uses its \captionsetup interface.

The `bicaption' package v1.6 supports typesetting of bilingual captions.

The `ltcaption' package v1.4 fixes caption problems with
other-than-center aligned longtables. (solving LaTeX PR `tools/3387')
A bonus feature is the addition of the environment longtable* which does
not increment the table counter.
This package will be loaded automatically by the `caption' package,
but can be used without the caption package, too.

The `subcaption' package v1.6 supports typesetting of sub-captions
(by using the the sub-caption feature of the `caption' package).
