The plugins list is the interactive UI; add doctor; remove the four-tab workspace - #42
List UI.skillz and skillz list open one list of packages for the project (-g for the user's installs). space selects, enter submits everything as one plan (installing and removing, each item checkable), i shows provenance, / filters. Global installs sit under a read-only divider in the project list.
Doctor.skillz doctor (read-only, --json, -g) reports name collisions per tool, stray skill files, format problems and broken links, as typed diagnostics.
Four-tab workspace removed. The Installed, Library and Profiles tabs (about 5.2k lines) and the Acts only they used are gone. Updating, applying/saving/clearing profiles and library editing remain commands. Shared widgets stay: container, buttons, margin, confirm, plan and result modals share one button row.
Smaller.library ls groups under centred rules and collapses ~; every data item can print JSON (Json trait); confirm modals have no help text.
Agent skills and AGENTS.md. The project's installed skills, skills-lock.json, and the updated AGENTS.md, which moves the review procedure into the pre-merge-review skill.
Behaviour changes to look at
Bare skillz no longer opens four tabs; it opens the project list.
The TUI's library actions are gone. The native-plugin reinstall of a library skill (PR Prefer native plugins and support Codex project installs #41) was wired only into that TUI action, so library install and profile apply still install a loose skill entry with npx skills. README/DESIGN say so; reinstating it belongs with the single Item model (skillz-5aw.18).
ConfirmDialog lost its labels/help builders (only the Library tab used them).
Validation
task dev, task test (1047 tests), cargo fmt --check, cargo clippy -D warnings, cargo llvm-cov (92.53% lines). Smoke-tested in a scratch home: bare skillz without a terminal, list --json, doctor. Not driven in a real terminal in this session.
Bead: skillz-5aw.17 (closed), skillz-5aw.1. Rebased on #41.
Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Added a doctor command to report skill name collisions, misplaced or invalid skill files, and broken links, with optional JSON output.
The interactive workspace now presents a single package list for project or global installs. Select packages together, review the proposed changes, and apply or cancel.
Plain list opens the interactive package list when run in a terminal; command-line listings support grouped output and JSON.
Changes
Profile management and separate installed-item and library tabs are no longer available in the workspace. Library operations are documented as command-line actions.
Plan and result screens now offer clearer approval choices and display changed items.
…four-tab workspace
- skillz and skillz list open one list of packages: space selects, enter submits
everything as one plan, i shows provenance; -g lists user installs only.
- skillz doctor reports name collisions, stray skill files, format problems and
broken links (read-only), with typed diagnostics and --json.
- Remove the Installed, Library and Profiles tabs and the Acts only they used;
saving, applying and clearing profiles, updating and library editing stay
available as commands.
- Shared widgets: container, buttons, margin; confirm, plan and result modals
share one button row. library ls groups under centred rules and collapses ~.
- Every data item can print JSON (Json trait); list --json bypasses the TUI.
…nto pre-merge-review
AGENTS.md now points to the pre-merge-review skill, asks for the full validation suite before
reporting work complete, and says Git operations happen only when explicitly requested.

Walkthrough
The pull request replaces the multi-tab terminal workspace with a scoped plugins list and unified install/removal plans. It adds a read-only doctor command for skill diagnostics, changes plan and result screens, updates command output, and revises documentation and repository instructions.
Interactive list routing selects project or global scope. The action model combines installs and removals in one change. The plan can narrow by agents and selected items.
Build and host the package list src/tui/workspace/plugins/*, src/tui/workspace/shell.rs, src/tui/workspace/installed/*, src/tui/workspace/library/*, src/tui/workspace/profiles/*, src/tui/workspace/tab.rs, README.md, DESIGN.md, GLOSSARY.md
The workspace now loads one package list. Project rows separate global packages behind a divider. The list supports staged selection, filtering, navigation, and package information. The former installed, library, and profile tabs are removed.
Plan and result screens use buttons and item-level lines. Shared layout and margin widgets support the updated screens. Library listings use grouped text output, and JSON output uses a shared writer.

Expose doctor reports through the CLI src/cli/doctor.rs, src/cli/args.rs, src/cli/mod.rs, src/cli/run.rs

…th; fix narrowing
- The workspace holds the plugins list directly: the Tab trait, the tab bar, the frame and the
key bar's tab hints are gone, and so is the update checker that ran network checks nobody
read (Act::Update, Checks, watch_updates/forget_updates).
- The snapshot no longer loads profiles or the applied-profile record; the keymap drops the
scopes and actions no screen resolves. The applied record is now write-only (bead filed).
- Narrowing the agents of a shared item renamed it and reset an unchecked box: a pick now
remembers the installed copies behind it.
- Tests: an item the user unchecks is neither installed nor removed; flipping a package held
in both scopes removes only the project's copy; both fail when the guard is deleted.
- doctor: one root when the project is the home directory; Copy is now Instance.
- README: the command that replaces each removed key is accurate, and the Workspace section is
readable; DESIGN and GLOSSARY updated.

Measure the label in terminal cells.
If a heading contains wide characters such as 日本, chars().count() understates its displayed width. centered_rule then produces a line wider than width. Use the label's display width when calculating room.

~ abbreviation uses a different home path than the scan uses.
resolve_project canonicalizes the home directory and builds env from the canonical path. roots(&env) therefore yields canonical paths. Line 25 passes deps.home, which is not canonicalized.
If $HOME is a symlink, every reported path keeps the absolute prefix and tilde never matches. The test does not catch this because it passes the same path to both sides.
IMPORTANT
Carefully review the code before committing. Ensure that it accurately replaces the highlighted code, contains no missing lines, and has no issues with indentation. Thoroughly test & benchmark the code to ensure it meets the requirements.

Keep distinct source paths in separate groups.
On a case-sensitive filesystem, /home/me/Skills and /home/me/skills can be different sources. This key merges their items under one source title, so library ls reports the wrong source for some items. Preserve the original title in the group identity and use lowercase only for sorting.

plan_view is built before the unchecked items are removed from switch.
view at Line 103 is derived from the unfiltered switch. view.destructive() reads the Remove group lines, and view.steps holds the steps of every item. Both still include items the user unchecked.
Scenario: the user unchecks every removal and retargets. The plan stays red, and the approving button still reads Delete. Nothing is removed. The raw s view also lists steps for unchecked items.
Build view after the retain calls. The check lines still come from targets.items, so the unchecked rows stay visible.

reveal is a logical line index but is used as a visual scroll offset.
Page::reveal counts body lines before wrapping. self.reveal(line) compares it with self.offset and self.page. Both are measured in wrapped (visual) rows, because paragraph.scroll((offset, 0)) scrolls visual rows.
Scenario: a plan has long item labels that wrap at the 76-cell width, and the cursor is below them. cursor_line returns an index smaller than the cursor's real row. The cursor row stays outside the window. The user then toggles boxes that are not visible.
Convert the logical index to a visual row before calling reveal. Count the wrapped rows of lines[..line] at body.width.
// Before `Paragraph::new(page.lines)` consumes the lines:let head:Vec<Line<'static>> = page.reveal.map(|at| page.lines[..at].to_vec()).unwrap_or_default();// After `body` is known:let visual = Paragraph::new(head).wrap(Wrap{trim:false}).line_count(body.width);
Pass visual to self.reveal.
