test/qemu/lifecycle-smokeon top of the published boot harness. Run an explicitly supplied static Mere binary in an offline guest with a verified upstream mirror and a disposable signed fixture repository. Two fixture releases cover package install/upgrade/removal, changed service sets, generation rollback, runtime payload versions, and preservation of administrator files. Service checks cover start/stop/restart, SIGHUP reload, status/logs, and boot intent independently of live state. Two reboots check enabled and disabled startup; filesystem checks and mount-lifetime records bracket the scenario.
Document invocation, replay inputs, host requirements, and the boundary around stopped-service package transactions. This exercises the command semantics corrected in jhuntwork/mere#75; the caller supplies a Mere binary containing those corrections.
Part of #634 and #633.
