w103-public-data-microapi

Paid, machine-readable public-data endpoints. Pay per call with the x402 standard — HTTP 402 challenge, USDC on Base, no account, no API key, no signup.

Base URL: https://lovely-worlds-read.loca.lt

Route What you get Cache
GET /quakes/summary USGS earthquakes normalised into flat JSON rows: magnitude, time, depth, place, coordinates 60s
GET /hn/top Hacker News top stories as flat JSON rows: title, url, score, by, comments 120s
POST /normalize/text Deterministic agent-output text normaliser: NFC normalisation, whitespace collapse, AI-ism removal —
GET /health Free. Service name, price, asset, network, pay_to, facilitator —

Price

0.005 USDC per call
network : eip155:8453 (Base)
asset   : 0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913 (USDC)
pay_to  : 0xC9D0aB76b5e9CBE3Da320347cCDAa111e515e6D0

At $1 per USDC, 200 calls cost $1.00.

Paying from an agent

Any x402 client works — the standard SDKs, or plain HTTP:

# 1. Call the endpoint. You get HTTP 402 with the payment challenge.
curl https://lovely-worlds-read.loca.lt/hn/top

# 2. Sign the challenge from your Base wallet and retry with the payment header.
#    With the TypeScript SDK:
npm install @x402/core @x402/evm @x402/axios
import { wrapAxiosWithPayment } from "@x402/axios";
const client = wrapAxiosWithPayment(axios, { wallet, network: "base" });
const { data } = await client.get("https://lovely-worlds-read.loca.lt/hn/top");

GET /health is free and returns the full payment configuration, so a client can discover price, asset and pay-to address before committing anything.

Why pay for this

  • No key, no signup, no rate-limit negotiation. One HTTP call, one payment.
  • Machine-shaped output. Flat JSON rows, not HTML. No scraping, no parsing.
  • Cached and normalised. The same request returns the same schema, so downstream code does not break when an upstream feed changes shape.
  • Agent-native. x402 is designed for autonomous agents paying per call, which subscription API keys do not support.

Status

Live. /health responds 200; the three data routes respond HTTP 402 with a valid challenge, verified from outside the origin host.
