Summary

E-6 (docs/kripke-status-2026-10-12.adoc) was OPEN pending an immutable external revision containing the theorem and its import, and a successful type-check. This records both. Docs only.

What is recorded

  • Theorem: global soundness of type-determined warrants in a reflexive frame, Choreographic.Kripke.Frame.sound-warrant in choreographic-types.
  • Immutable revision: choreographic-types d8536184366f4ac4567aa066c5dbcb9220e3607a (main).
  • The import: EpistemicTypes.Warrant at 495db9cca003e12066a3cb9c9f2d7afa1a953aec, pinned by scripts/fetch-siblings.sh there. Warrant.agda, Base.agda and Access.agda are unchanged between that commit and this repository's main, so the import still describes today's library.
  • Type-check: choreographic-types' Agda proofs workflow, run 39288705455 on that commit, succeeded under Agda 2.6.4.3 with --safe --without-K --no-libraries --ignore-interfaces --double-check.

Changes

  • docs/kripke-status-2026-10-12.adoc: the E-6 row now cites the above and its status reads RECORDED externally ... not re-checked in this repository; the preamble sentence no longer calls it "open".
  • README.adoc: the matching note in "What remains intentionally unformalized".

For the maintainer to decide

  • The status wording. I chose RECORDED externally, not PROVEN, because this repository has not re-run the check. Change it if you prefer a different word.
  • Nothing else changes. Soundness for data-dependent warrants is still an assumption, as before.
  • The other two asks in the issue I had drafted are already done upstream: the world-indexed variant is Kripke/Indexed.agda (E-1), and Warrant, Base and Access are builtins-only.

Testing

Docs only; no Agda changed. I did not re-run scripts/check.sh.

E-6 was open pending an immutable external revision containing the theorem
and its import, and a successful type-check. choreographic-types main at
d8536184366f4ac4567aa066c5dbcb9220e3607a contains Choreographic.Kripke
(Frame.sound-warrant), imports EpistemicTypes.Warrant at 495db9c (Warrant,
Base and Access are unchanged since), and its Agda proofs workflow, run
39288705455, succeeded under Agda 2.6.4.3 with --safe --without-K
--no-libraries --ignore-interfaces --double-check. Recorded here; not
re-checked in this repository.

…superseded

epistemic-types' own kripke-2026-10-12 work added the world-indexed records
(Kripke/Indexed) and keeps Warrant, Base and Access builtins-only, so the
issue drafted for it was never needed. The one thing it waited for, an
immutable external revision plus a type-check for the warrant-soundness
theorem, is recorded in hyperpolymath/epistemic-types#41. The ledger row now
says the mismatch is resolved upstream and that this repository still carries
its own copy of the indexed record.

The red governance / * checks are not caused by this diff (docs only: one table row and one README sentence). The one log I read (governance / Code quality + docs) ends Unable to resolve action actions/checkout@3d3c42e5…: invalid lockfile pin. governance.yml calls standards at a26cc74 and secret-scanner.yml at bd0df9e; GitHub now refuses a lock record whose ref repeats the SHA of a tagged action, and the lock inside those standards commits has that form. I have not read every red job's log. The known fix, from hyperpolymath/choreographic-types#34, is to pin the standards callers at 75bd599 (whose lock records tags) and move this repo's lock records with them. No such PR exists here yet and I have not widened this one.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Updated the project documentation to note that soundness for type-determined warrants was verified externally, including a successful type-check.
    • Clarified that this verification has not been repeated within this repository, and that soundness for data-dependent warrants remains an assumption.

The README and status document now record external verification evidence for soundness of type-determined warrants. The documents state that the result has not been re-checked in this repository. Soundness for data-dependent warrants remains an assumption.

Before / after behavior

  • observed — Modified behavior in README.adoc: The E-6 statement now reports external proof and successful CI type-check evidence at a specific revision, replacing the previous status that the result remained open pending an immutable revision and type-check. The README still says this soundness is not re-checked here.
  • observed — Modified behavior in docs/kripke-status-2026-10-12.adoc: The introduction now says E-6 records external verification for type-determined warrants, replacing its description as recording open external verification.
  • observed — Modified behavior in docs/kripke-status-2026-10-12.adoc: E-6 now records the external choreographic-types revision and successful Agda workflow run, including the type-check configuration, instead of marking the external theorem and type-check as unrecorded. It remains not re-checked in this repository.

CodeRabbit on #41: the status document is dated 2026-10-12 but the CI run it

@coderabbitai please do not attempt CI fixes, autofix, or edits to .github/workflows/ or actions.lock on this PR.

The red governance and scan checks are the standards-lock failure (called workflows pinned at commits whose own lock records SHA as ref). That is being fixed separately in #42, with records copied from the called repo's lock, not inferred. The same checks are red on main, so they are not caused by this docs-only PR.

Review comments are welcome; automated pushes and "fix CI" suggestions are not.

@hyperpolymath Thanks for the guidance. I will limit my work on this PR to review comments. I will not attempt CI fixes, autofix, automated pushes, or edits to .github/workflows/ or actions.lock. I will not suggest “fix CI” for this PR.

The standards-lock fix is being handled separately in #42.

Learning: For hyperpolymath/epistemic-types PR #41, the author permits review comments but prohibits CI fixes, autofix, automated pushes, edits to `.github/workflows/` or `actions.lock`, and “fix CI” suggestions. The author reports that the red governance and scan checks also fail on main and are unrelated to this documentation-only PR. PR #42 handles the standards-lock failure separately, using records copied from the called repository's lock rather than inferred records.

hyperpolymath added a commit to hyperpolymath/choreographic-types that referenced this pull request Oct 19, 2026
…pstream (#36)

## Summary

Two small, separate commits. The branch is shared because this session
may only push to this branch.

**1. Move the estate-audit pin from cicd-suite #50 (`376898b`) to #55
(`b17ec1a`).** The caller template is unchanged upstream, so this is a
pin-only bump; the lock record moves with it.

Upstream since #50: per-validator ignore lists for manifest-check (#51),
a case-insensitive de-onboard fix (#52), a schema test (#53), new strict
Rust / Creusot / SPARK / miniKanren gates (#54), and a repin of the
audit composites (#55). None of the new gates is called by this
repository.

**2. Docs: T-6 is resolved upstream.** epistemic-types' own
`kripke-2026-10-12` work added the world-indexed records and keeps
`Warrant`, `Base` and `Access` builtins-only, so the issue drafted for
it was never needed and was never filed. The one thing it waited for, an
immutable external revision and a type-check for the warrant-soundness
theorem, is recorded in hyperpolymath/epistemic-types#41.

## Type of change

- [ ] 🐛 Bug fix
- [ ] ✨ New feature
- [ ] 🕳️ Soundness fix
- [x] 📖 Documentation
- [x] 🔧 Build / CI / tooling
- [ ] ♻️ Refactor
- [ ] 🔒 Security
- [ ] 🧪 Tests only

## What changed

- `.github/workflows/main-estate-audit.yml`: `uses:` pin `376898b` →
`b17ec1a`. The header comment said the lock lists this call as `[]`; it
does not, and now says what is true.
- `.github/workflows/actions.lock`: the `hyperpolymath/cicd-suite`
record (workflow entry, dependency key, `ref`, `commit`) moves to
`b17ec1a`. It is an untagged pin, so `ref` stays the SHA, as for the
standards records.
- `PROOF-STATUS.adoc` T-6 row, `docs/LANDING.adoc`, and the header of
`docs/cross-repo/epistemic-types_issue-global-soundness-model.adoc`:
records corrected as above. No Agda changed.

## How has this been verified?

- `node scripts/check-repository.mjs` passes after both commits.
- cicd-suite's own lock at `b17ec1a` records `actions/checkout` at the
tag `v7.0.1`, the form job setup accepts.
- **This PR's own estate-audit run is the real check** for commit 1, as
the caller's header says. If it startup-fails with zero jobs, the lock
record is the first place to look.

## Notes for reviewers

- No AUTOMATION_TOKEN change. cicd-suite's
`templates/track-estate-audit.yml` could open pin PRs weekly, but needs
that secret.
- This repository still carries its own copy of the indexed record.
Importing epistemic-types' `Kripke/Indexed` instead would need a re-pin
of the sibling and a re-check on the Agda 2.6.4.3 pin; not done here.
