my window maker config. came over from hyprland and icewm and honestly didn't expect to like it this much lol. dark navy look based on the sleep theme, kept most of my hyprland keybinds so my fingers dont have to relearn everything

running it on cachyos, x11 obviously

whats in here

• GNUstep/Defaults/WindowMaker - the main config, keybinds, fonts, focus stuff
• GNUstep/Defaults/WMRootMenu - root menu + app shortcuts + media keys
• GNUstep/Defaults/WMWindowAttributes - app icons, and hides the stupid portal cube
• GNUstep/Defaults/WMState - my dock
• GNUstep/Library/WindowMaker/autostart - touchpad fix, dockapps, xcape
• rofi/wm-sleep.rasi - rofi theme that matches
• obsidian/wm-sleep.css - same colors for obsidian
• bin/arch_update.sh - wmarchup runs this when you click it

keys

tap super (or f12) opens the menu, super+d is rofi, super+return kitty, super+e dolphin, super+q close, super+f maximize. super+1-0 switches workspace, add shift to throw the window there. super+shift+arrows snaps to half the screen. print = region screenshot, shift+print = whole screen

some paths have /home/bator hardcoded so change those

you need windowmaker, rofi, kitty, dolphin, xcape, playerctl, brightnessctl and the dockapps: wmclock wmbattery wmcpuload wmpulsemixer wmarchup
