Voices change pitch after fast forwarding for extended periods.

I am on Windows 10 using Emacs 26.2 and MPlayer in the backend and after fast forwarding for more than a couple of percent of a podcast their voices all change pitch and become very high pitch. It has happened about 10 times to date.
