makeReducer bound reducerMap[event.name] before checking it existed, so a missing reducer threw a generic TypeError from .bind() instead of the descriptive "No reducer for event" error. Check for the reducer first, then bind.
StepPopped mutated activity.steps in place via Array#pop, unlike every other reducer in this file which derives a new array. Build the popped steps as a new array instead so callers that still hold a reference to the previous activity aren't affected.

property before retrieving or binding its reducer, so inherited names such as
"toString" follow the existing “No reducer for event” error path. Add a test for
an event with an inherited name.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Check for an own reducer before dispatch.
If an unregistered event has name: "toString", this lookup selects an inherited function. The reducer then returns a string instead of throwing No reducer for event. Check Object.prototype.hasOwnProperty.call(reducerMap, event.name) before binding, and cover an inherited name in the tests.

Summary
Fix
makeReducerso that an event with no matching reducer throws thedescriptive error it was designed to throw, instead of a generic TypeError.
Motivation
In
core/src/activity-utils/makeReducer.ts, the reducer lookup called.bind()onreducerMap[event.name]before checking whether it existed:If reducerMap[event.name] is undefined, calling .bind() on it throws a TypeError immediately, so the if (reducer) check and the custom "No reducer for event" error below it can never be reached.
The intended error-handling branch was dead code.
