Checkout fixes

• Stop a coupon racing the auto-selects from stranding the checkout on Delivery or on a dead payment source #892 — a coupon applied while the auto-selects are in flight no longer strands the checkout on Delivery or on a dead payment source. <Shipment> re-reads the shipments when its selection resolves and selects again if the coupon cleared the method (up to three attempts); <CheckoutComPayment> unmounts the Flow of a replaced payment source and detaches its submit handler, so the card and the 3DS go to the source the order points at; <PaymentMethod> no longer creates a payment source after it unmounts; and setPaymentSource hands a caller acting on an order read before the last create the source that create made instead of a second one. Seen in mfe-checkout CI on payments-checkoutcom.spec.ts:446: 3/18 red before, 48/48 green after.
• Publish a preselected address card in the same pass that selects it #890 — a preselected address card is published in the same pass that selects it. <Address> highlighted the card matching the order's address but pushed it to the shared state only on a later re-run of its effect; when nothing re-ran it, the card looked selected and "Continue to delivery" stayed disabled. Seen in mfe-checkout CI on customer-addresses-with-wallet.spec.ts:732.
• Select the lone shipping method again when a coupon clears it mid-select #888, closing Shipment auto-select never retries when a coupon clears the method mid-select #887 — the lone shipping method is selected again when a coupon clears it mid-select. The single-method auto-select kept its dedupe key until the data showed the method as set; a coupon applied while the PATCH was in flight cleared the method before any refetch saw it, so Delivery stayed on the loader for good. The guard is now released when the selection resolves.
• Retrieve the already-placed order with its includes #883, closing setPlaceOrder does not publish the order when the pre-check finds it already placed #885 — the already-placed order comes back with its includes. The pre-check that prevents a second _place read the order without include. With Adyen that is the normal path (the order is placed on _authorize), and in mfe-checkout the thank-you page lost the card's last four digits while GTM add_payment_info and purchase went out with no items and no payment type.
• Refresh the order when the customer email is saved #869 — the order is refreshed when the customer email is saved. customer_email lives on the order, but only the customer state learned about it, so gateways that prefill from order.customer_email (Klarna, Stripe, Braintree) read nothing.
• Publish the customer email on the way in, not on the way out #882 — the customer email is published on the way in, not on the way out. Publishing it after awaiting the PATCH and the refetch undid whatever the shopper typed while the request was in flight.
• Show the same placeholder for Adyen as for every other gateway #879 — Adyen shows the same placeholder as every other gateway while the Drop-in comes up, instead of an empty payment area.

Maintenance

• Close the typecheck backlog, and the bugs behind two of the errors #859 — the typecheck backlog is closed (pnpm typecheck at zero errors), including two real defects that were hiding behind type errors.
• Stop the documentation giving instructions that cannot work #861 — the documentation stops giving instructions that cannot work, starting with the examples that lost their Tailwind styling.
• Stop a coupon racing the auto-selects from stranding the checkout on Delivery or on a dead payment source #892 (dev only) — pnpm audit back to clean (Storybook 10.6, vitest 4.1.12, vite 8.3.5 and three overrides), check-exports runs attw through pnpm dlx, and unused dev dependencies and dead scripts are gone. Nothing in the published packages' runtime dependencies changes.

Verified against mfe-checkout

The e2e suite of mfe-checkout (feat/new-react-components) was run locally against 60a64455 (this release minus #890) in local-library mode, with the served chunks checked to contain the local build rather than the published 5.0.8:

• 255 passed, 0 failed, 5 skipped (all test.skip in the specs), including payments-checkoutcom.spec.ts with the coupon flow from Shipment auto-select never retries when a coupon clears the method mid-select #887.
• Two tests went red in the first pass — checkout-free-payment.spec.ts:141 on an API timeout ("Request cancelled") and payments-adyen-klarna.spec.ts:35 on the Klarna sandbox — and both passed when re-run, on this tree and on the published 5.0.8 alike.
• With Stop a coupon racing the auto-selects from stranding the checkout on Delivery or on a dead payment source #892 applied, on a production build as in CI: payments-checkoutcom.spec.ts:446 48/48, the whole checkout.com spec 9/9, Stripe 8/8.
• With Publish a preselected address card in the same pass that selects it #890 applied, the four address specs were re-run: customer-addresses-with-wallet 17/17, customer-addresses-no-wallet 3/3, guest-addresses 17/17, address-settings 9/9.

Tag

v5.0.11 is pushed on the bump commit 6e53bac5, as for the previous releases (tags cannot be created on main). Its parent is the tip of main, so the merge commit of this PR will have the same tree, and publish.yaml builds exactly what lands on main. release.yaml has created the draft release, with #892 in its notes.
