0.1.27: the model and effort follow the job - #62

Conversation
F1 of the releases after 0.1.24, approved by Will as D1 on 2026-11-05. A stage ran on its owner's tier and its coordinator's effort, so a rename and a design call ran the same, and Will ruled on rows by hand. Who reads <Persona>, <job>: design (Opus 5.5 at high), build, review and write (Opus at medium), edit (Sonnet 5.5 at medium), one job line each in tiers.conf. <Persona>, <job>, <Model> <effort> pins any other point. The older <Persona>, <Model> is read by its tier, with one note from check. plan.py card names sessions [P2-S4] [Akira design], prints the model id and the effort, checks both, and gives build cards the goal line. /ck:start passes model and effort on the chip; refresh sets both. The plan contract and draft workflow carry the Fable rule. How we work 0.1.27 checks model and effort. cost.py logs cost by model and effort, and /ck:cost history shows it. What changes
<Persona>, <job>. Five job words each name a model and an effort, onejobline apiece intiers.conf:design: Opus 5.5 at highbuild, review, write: Opus 5.5 at mediumedit: Sonnet 5.5 at medium<Persona>, <job>, <Model> <effort>pins any other point, for exampleAkira, design, Fable high.<Persona>, <Model>is read by its tier: Fable as design, Opus as build, Sonnet or Haiku as edit.checkadds one note line saying how many rows use that form. No plan file is rewritten.plan.py cardnames the session[P2-S4] [Akira design] <title>and printsjob, the model's id andeffort. The card's model check now covers effort too. A build card carries the line "As much coded as necessary, as little code as possible."rowsandreadyprint the point, such asOpus high./ck:startpassesmodelandefforton the chip. A chip can't open above the session that opens it on either axis. When a stage's point is above that session's, the session says so and the stage's own check stops it. A session can read its own effort withget_sessionandself; I checked this before building. Refreshing the board now sets a running stage's effort as well as its model.Fable highonly for a stage that Opus at high has already fallen short on, or, on trial, for security or concurrency code.
