Problem with adaptive re-meshing based on drainage area

Hi

I've tried in every way possible to activate the option for increasing mesh density around areas of large drainage area (OPTMESHADAPTAREA) but I couldn't make it work, it compiles but it doesn't add any new node. I would like to ask if someone could help me with the parameters units of the additional options: MESHADAPTAREA_MINAREA and MESHADAPTAREA_MAXVAREA. Or maybe if someone could show me some example of a working code with this option activated.

I would be very thankful if anyone could provide some advice in order to solve this problem.

Thanks for posting this @jestayh. The mesh densification routines were written more than 20 years ago, and this one never really got past the demonstration stage. My distant recollection is that MESHADATPAREA_MINAREA was the minimum drainage area for adaptive meshing (nodes with less than this would have no remeshing done). I think MESHADAPTAREA_MAXVAREA was the maximum Voronoi cell area for those cells containing a node with more than the minimum drainage area---in other words, whenever a cell is bigger than this, it should be subdivided. But as I say, this was just an experimental capability, and we never really put it into practice. My advice is to study the source code carefully.
