Contributing

Thanks for taking a look. These defaults apply to every repository in this organization; a repository with its own CONTRIBUTING.md overrides them.

Reporting a bug

Open an issue in the repository it belongs to. Tell us what you expected, what happened instead, and how to reproduce it. Version numbers, the request you sent, and the error you got back are worth more than a description of them.

For anything security-sensitive, follow SECURITY.md instead — not a public issue.

Proposing a change

Open an issue before a large pull request, so we can agree on the approach before you spend the time. Small fixes — a typo, a broken link, a clearly wrong default — can go straight to a pull request.

Pull requests

  • Branch from main, keep the change focused, and describe what it does and why.
  • Match the surrounding code: the repositories are ESM + strict TypeScript, and each one documents its own build / typecheck / test commands in its README.
  • Run those checks before opening the PR, and say what you ran.
  • Add or update tests for behavior you change.
  • Commit messages carry the change and nothing else — no generated footers or co-author trailers.

Building on the Maker API

You do not need to contribute code to trade on Cessio. Makers onboard themselves over the public Maker API — start at docs.devnet.cessio.cc, and fork cessio-demo-maker-bot for a working reference.
