I am Ayesha, a security Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (UMass Amherst). I joined UMass Amherst in Fall 2025, where I am fortunate to be advised by Dr. Pubali Datta.
My research interests include distributed systems, agentic AI, and usable security and privacy. My work focuses on understanding and addressing security and privacy challenges in software systems and online platforms. I pursue two complementary directions: (1) developing scalable and robust methods for securing large-scale systems, including AI-assisted approaches for analyzing and enforcing security policies, and (2) understanding human-centered security and privacy challenges and developing user-centered mechanisms that support safer decision-making on online platforms.
Before joining UMass Amherst, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in July 2024. Prior to beginning my doctoral studies, I served as a full-time lecturer in the Department of CSE at Presidency University, Bangladesh. Before that, I held the same position in the Department of CSE at the Canadian University of Bangladesh.
