I'm a cybersecurity grad (M.S. IT, Arizona State University) who likes figuring out how attacks work and building simple tools to catch them.
Most of my projects started with a question like "How would a SOC analyst actually spot this?" and turned into something I built, broke, and fixed until it worked.
Looking for: entry-level roles in SOC / security analysis, GRC & compliance, or IT support. Open to relocating anywhere in the US.
| Project | What it does | Built with |
|---|---|---|
| CyberShield | Pulls 150,000+ threat indicators from 3 public feeds every hour, checks IPs and domains against them, and opens an incident automatically when something matches. | Python, Flask, SQLite |
| Home Lab SIEM | My own mini SOC on two VMs. Collected 26,000+ security events, simulated attacks like brute-force logins, and wrote alert rules and runbooks to catch them. | ELK Stack, Filebeat, Kibana |
| Vulnerability Scanner | Scans a network with Nmap, matches what it finds against 347,000+ known vulnerabilities (CVEs), and ranks what to fix first. | Python, Nmap, NVD API |
| PhishGuard | Checks if a URL looks like phishing using a machine learning model trained on 6,500+ real URLs. | Python, scikit-learn |
| Phishing Email Analyzer | Reads an email and predicts if it's phishing. Trained on 82,000+ emails, about 98% accurate. | Python, TF-IDF, Logistic Regression |
| Fraud Detection | Finds fraudulent credit card transactions in a dataset of 284,807 transactions. | Python, scikit-learn |
