Bug: maka loop leads to repeated empty AI replies and cannot be interrupted by message #4083

Description

@lby9201-arch

Description

On maka Desktop, maka occasionally gets stuck in a loop that produces repeated empty AI replies. During the loop, sending a new message does not interrupt the run.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start a task in maka Desktop.
  2. Trigger an agent loop.
  3. The model returns repeated empty AI replies.
  4. Send another message to try to interrupt the loop.

Expected behavior

The loop should stop producing empty replies, and sending a message should interrupt the run.

    @Astro-Han Hi, this issue has been resolved. I have submitted PR #4138 . Could you please take a look when you have a chance?

    Could you add the build commit, the surface (Desktop or TUI), the model and connection in use, and a runtime execution record or trace from an affected run? PR #4138 was never merged, so nothing has changed here since the report. As written this also covers two separate problems — repeated empty replies, and a new message not interrupting the run — which most likely have different causes, so a reproduction on current main would let us split them into issues someone can act on.
