# Agent Plugins contributor guide

This repository owns reusable plugin content under `plugins/`. The AllAgents CLI, client adapters and workspace examples belong in `allagentsdev/allagents`.

- Work on a dedicated branch/worktree from current `origin/main`; publish changes through a pull request. Never push implementation directly to `main` or merge without user authorization. Use conventional commit and PR titles; squash merges.
- Keep `.claude-plugin/marketplace.json` and `.github/plugin/marketplace.json` aligned for the complete catalogue. Both use the marketplace name `agent-plugins` and local paths to plugin directories.
- Preserve plugin names, licensing, attribution, executable file modes and supporting resources. Update plugin homepages and local links when moving files.
- Keep skills scoped to reusable capabilities. Keep household data, private service configuration, credentials and downloaded personal workbooks in their private repositories.
- Read a skill and its supporting instructions before changing its behavior. Prefer concise instructions with examples and references for detail; preserve calculation and missing-data semantics when changing financial guidance.
- Use Bun for scripts and tests. Run `bun run validate` and `bun test` before publishing. For changed installation or runtime behavior, exercise the relevant built CLI or script in a temporary fixture and document the result.
- Use independent review for substantial changes; resolve correctness and ownership findings before publication. Record meaningful checks and limitations in the PR description.
- Maintain an explicit task list for work with five or more steps. Stage exact file paths and preserve unrelated edits. Never commit build outputs, dependency directories, runtime state or secrets.

# agent-plugins
Reusable skills, agents and tools for AI assistants, maintained by AllAgents
# Agent Plugins

Reusable plugins for AI assistants, maintained by AllAgents. This repository is the plugin catalogue; the [AllAgents CLI and workspace examples](https://github.com/allagentsdev/allagents) remain in their own repository.

## Install

Install a plugin with AllAgents:

```sh
npx allagents plugin install finance@allagentsdev/agent-plugins --scope user
```

Select a project scope and clients when needed:

```sh
npx allagents plugin install engineering@allagentsdev/agent-plugins --scope project --client codex --yes
```

Claude Code and Copilot CLI can use this repository's native marketplace manifests. For other clients, AllAgents copies the supported plugin resources into each client's expected directories.

## Catalogue

| Plugin | Contents |
| --- | --- |
| [deepwiki](plugins/deepwiki) | Public repository documentation tools and guidance |
| [engineering](plugins/engineering) | Interactive PR review skill |
| [finance](plugins/finance) | Financial modeling guidance and an original fictional XLSX example |
| [tradingview](plugins/tradingview) | TradingView market data MCP configuration |

The CLI-specific guidance plugin remains in [allagents/plugins/allagents](https://github.com/allagentsdev/allagents/tree/main/plugins/allagents), installed as `allagents@allagentsdev/allagents`.

Some plugins connect to external services; their availability and authentication are governed by those services. The catalogue contains reusable guidance and configurations, not personal credentials or records.

## Workspace templates

Workspace templates remain under [allagents/examples/workspaces](https://github.com/allagentsdev/allagents/tree/main/examples/workspaces). They compose plugins from this catalogue and other sources:

```yaml
plugins:
- finance@allagentsdev/agent-plugins
- engineering@allagentsdev/agent-plugins
```

The companion AllAgents migration preserves the old marketplace declarations, such as `finance@allagentsdev/allagents`, through external sources. Direct old directory URLs for the moved plugins do not redirect: replace `allagentsdev/allagents/plugins/<name>` with `<name>@allagentsdev/agent-plugins`. Upgrade AllAgents before using the migrated forwarding marketplace. Pinned historical versions continue to use their original content.

## Development

Use Bun. The existing engineering plugin tests move with their implementation.

```sh
bun run validate
bun test
```

Changes are reviewed through pull requests. See [AGENTS.md](AGENTS.md) for contribution guidance.

## License

MIT; the original EntityProcess copyright notice is retained in [LICENSE](LICENSE). Financial-modeling source attribution is retained in the skill's [source notes](plugins/finance/skills/financial-modeling/references/sources.md). The example workbook is original and fictional; third-party example workbooks are linked rather than redistributed.

# DeepWiki MCP Tools

## When to Use
- Understanding a GitHub repository's architecture
- Cross-repo comparisons and Q&A
- Finding how a specific feature is implemented in a repo
- Getting an overview of unfamiliar codebases

## Available Tools
- `mcp__deepwiki__read_wiki_structure` — Get documentation topics for a repo
- `mcp__deepwiki__read_wiki_contents` — Read full documentation for a repo
- `mcp__deepwiki__ask_question` — Ask any question about a repo

## Query Strategies
- Start with `read_wiki_structure` to understand what documentation is available
- Use `ask_question` for specific implementation questions: "How does auth work in owner/repo?"
- For comparisons, ask about each repo separately then synthesize
- Repository names use `owner/repo` format (e.g., "langchain-ai/langchainjs")

## Limitations
- Free to use, no API key required
- Only works with public GitHub repositories
- Documentation is AI-generated and may miss recent changes
- Best for architecture-level understanding, not line-by-line code review
