💡 What

Enhanced the QueueDrawer component to improve accessibility and keyboard navigation:

  • Added role="dialog", aria-modal="true", and aria-label="Downloads queue" to provide clear dialog semantics for assistive technologies.
  • Added aria-hidden={!isOpen} and inert={!isOpen ? true : undefined} to prevent keyboard navigation and screen readers from accessing the drawer when closed offscreen.
  • Registered with the shared overlayStack (pushOverlay, popOverlay, isTopOverlay) to support closing the drawer with the Escape key in the proper stack order.
  • Automatically focused the drawer on open and restored focus to the previously focused element upon close.

🎯 Why

The downloads drawer is rendered permanently in the DOM and slides on/off screen. Previously, it lacked dialog accessibility semantics, allowed focus to enter the drawer while hidden offscreen, and could not be dismissed via the standard Escape keyboard shortcut.

♿ Accessibility

  • Full keyboard dismiss support via Escape.
  • Accessible dialog semantics (role="dialog", aria-modal="true", aria-label).
  • Prevents offscreen tab navigation using inert and aria-hidden.
  • Focus capture and restoration upon open/close.
