Wait for npm processing before downstream release jobs - #11
Conversation
📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe release workflow now verifies npm package availability after publishing platform and root packages. A new script polls registry metadata and checks the package version, latest tag, and archive integrity. The release guide updates its version examples and describes these checks. Coordinate the verification timeout with the shared waiter.
waitForPublishedPackage can run for up to 24 minutes 50 seconds: 60 attempts can each consume 15 seconds, with 59 additional 10-second pauses. Both workflow steps terminate after 12 minutes. A sequence of slow registry reads can therefore end the step before the waiter emits npm registry did not expose .... Increase both step limits or reduce the shared retry budget. The following keeps the existing retry behavior:

npm can accept a publication while the package remains unavailable during registry processing. The 0.2.1 container job started in that interval, omitted the unresolved optional native dependencies while regenerating its lockfile, and failed the frozen install.
Each native and root publish job now waits for the public registry to expose the exact validated archive integrity and intended
latestversion before downstream jobs proceed. The wait is bounded, retries temporary registry errors and rejects a mismatched archive. The release guide records 0.2.1 as published and uses an unused version in its examples.Validation: four regression cases cover delayed version/tag visibility, transient errors, integrity mismatch and timeout; the gate also passed against the actual published root archive. All six 0.2.1 registry archives were independently downloaded and matched their validated release artifacts byte for byte. A fresh published-package installation passed CLI, SDK, API/OpenAPI, MCP and native startup checks. The immutable 0.2.1 tag and npm artifacts are preserved.
