# Code of Conduct

## The short version

This project is about measuring things honestly. The same standard applies to
how people are treated here: be accurate, be direct, assume the other person is
trying to make the tool better.

## Expected behaviour

- Criticise the claim, the code or the measurement — not the person.
- Say what you actually measured, and what you did not.
- Accept a reverted patch without taking it personally. A mixed benchmark
result gets reverted here even when the idea was good; it is the rule, not a
verdict on the contributor.
- English or Persian are both fine in issues and discussions.

## Unacceptable behaviour

- Personal attacks, harassment, or discriminatory language of any kind —
including about nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or age.
- Publishing someone's private information without permission.
- Sustained disruption: reopening settled decisions without new evidence,
demanding unpaid work, or spamming issues.
- Presenting numbers you did not measure, or numbers from a tuned set, as the
project's results. In a project whose whole point is honest measurement, this
is a conduct problem and not only a technical one.

## Scope

Issues, pull requests, discussions, commit messages, and any space where
someone is representing the project.

## Reporting

Report to **1.parsa.karkooti@gmail.com**. Reports are read by the maintainer
only. Include links and enough context to act; you will get a reply within a
week. Security issues go through a
[private advisory](https://github.com/ParsaVictor/code-context-engine/security/advisories/new)
instead — see [SECURITY.md](SECURITY.md).

## Enforcement

The maintainer may edit or delete comments, close issues, or block accounts.
The usual sequence is a private note first, then a temporary block, then a
permanent one; serious cases skip straight to the end.

Adapted in spirit from the [Contributor Covenant](https://www.contributor-covenant.org),
rewritten for this project rather than copied.
