Removes the codecov/codecov-action step and the codecov README badge added in #202. Codecov is no longer used.
Kept: the Go Reference badge, the coverage floor gate, the coverage job summary and the coverage profile artifact.
make commit-check gates all pass locally (test-lfs-sdk-unit needed the repo-local Node on PATH because the machine's system Node is v15).
