Possibility / Risk Perception / Status Payoff
A CWI sub-framework by John Brajer.
Can a human even do this?
Observed examples can move an action from unimaginable to conceivable.
What appears to happen to people who try?
Successes, failures, survivorship, visibility, and context all update perceived risk.
If I succeed, how extraordinary will society consider it?
As an action becomes common, its differentiation value can decline even while its perceived feasibility increases.
A new behavior can move through a social field roughly like:
low perceived possibility
|
visible attempt
v
higher possibility + updated risk
|
repeated adoption
v
greater certainty + lower novelty
PRS is not a claim that status is the only motive for action. It isolates three variables useful for analyzing how unconventional behavior becomes thinkable, attemptable, and eventually ordinary.
