My work spans both research and product engineering, from multilingual NLP research with the ALGORITMI Centre at the University of Minho and SemEval 2026 to building AI-powered products as a co-founder. - Large Audio Language Models for Emotion Recognition β Comparative evaluation of Audio Flamingo 3, Qwen2.5-Omni, and WhisperX + Mistral-7B across MELD and IEMOCAP, studying prompting, accuracy, latency, VRAM, and computational trade-offs.
- Remy.AI β AI-powered fraud prevention chatbot for WhatsApp and Telegram, combining LLMs, RAG, NLP, and lightweight ML routing. Validated through 300+ real-world interactions.
- Houmy β Uber-like service platform with a low-latency provider-client matchmaking system using Rust, Redis, H3 geospatial indexing, PostgreSQL, and asynchronous event-driven pipelines.
- TextToInsight β Open-source multi-agent Text-to-SQL system using LangGraph, with Planner, Code, Executor, and Critic agents, iterative self-correction, Human-in-the-Loop interaction, and automated visualization.
