Review on ArchCode

Summary

  • Reuse a successful core skill capability check within one bootstrap invocation: healthy Bash and PowerShell paths run one version check and six help probes, instead of fifteen CLI launches.
  • Recheck a replacement binary after installation/Homebrew repair; keep existing installer hashes, ownership checks, scope consent, and no-global-fallback behavior.
  • Assert launch counts and uniqueness in the existing shell/PowerShell fixture suites, then regenerate all harness copies.

Verification

  • Full Bash bootstrap fixture suite passes, including verbose version/help, rejected capabilities, Homebrew ownership/repair, and missing binaries. New repair fixtures first reproduced a real regression: a version command printing a current version but exiting nonzero was incorrectly classified for brew upgrade, which cannot repair a current keg. It now selects reinstall. Verbose old versions remain upgrades. Both implementations drain native output before classifying its successful exit status.
  • All 138 plugin generator tests and 180 generated-file checks pass; git diff --check passes.
  • PowerShell is unavailable locally; Ubuntu/Windows PowerShell checks remain required in this PR's existing CI workflow.
  • No persistent capability cache and no software or hook installation on the developer machine.

Automatic CI and review-only status

.github/workflows/skill-bootstrap-checks.yml runs these existing suites on pull requests: its Ubuntu job runs both Bash and PowerShell (including Homebrew fixtures), and its Windows job runs the native PowerShell paths. This PR remains draft with auto-merge off. Latest-head server assessment is not yet available; do not substitute its older head's grade or a local assessment.
