Summary

Follow-up to merged #1964 and AdaWorldAPI/OGAR#371. Test-only; no production code changes.

OGAR already provides an aligned identity-witness view:

  • Ruler::from_fold gives one slot per AD row and places Entra/EXO witnesses only when the counterpart is uncontested.
  • fold_aligned turns it into six planes of 64 slots per word.

Nothing yet runs those planes through Quack. The one consumer, CloudMailboxes::from_fold, selects bit by bit in a host loop and builds (Guid, Guid) tuples.

This lab selects over the existing planes with one lowered Quack/mask-RISC program per pass:

  • Filter::and over plane leaves;
  • Agg::Rows into Out::Mask, or Agg::Count;
  • one FrameStore::check per pass.

The hot path binds and visits no rows. A kept slot is described by references into OGAR's Output: AD row i, Entra row ad_target[i], EXO row entra_mailbox[j]. No tuple is stored.

What is deliberately not done:

  • No Entra/EXO property value is aligned to slot order, copied into the Ruler, or read.
  • The Ruler is not treated as a canonical SoA64K.
  • No new GUID index or correspondence engine.
  • Gather, ADMISSION B, NotASide and OP-14 are unchanged.

Falsifiers

  • batch_selection_over_ruler_planes_equals_the_scalar_oracle: four seeds, 300 slots (5 words).
    • Ten fault classes: missing backsync, shared or foreign anchor, absent Entra, no mailbox, duplicate mailbox, Entra or EXO in another tenant, stale observation, contradicting backsync, unbound AD domain.
    • Entra and EXO rows are shuffled.
    • The kept mask equals an independent scalar oracle slot by slot. The oracle uses no Index, Output, Ruler or Planes.
    • Kept slots' Output references equal the oracle's Entra and EXO rows.
    • Anti-vacuity: between 25% and 75% of slots are kept, and the tail bits of the last word stay clear.
  • batch_selection_reproduces_cloud_mailboxes_from_fold: the existing per-row predicate (cloud ∧ ¬fwd_conflict ∧ ¬back_conflict) as one batch pass gives the same owner set.
  • reordered_populations_select_the_same_identities: with AD reversed and Entra/EXO shuffled, the same (AD, Entra, EXO) identity triples are selected.
  • a_batch_pass_refuses_stale_and_foreign_frames: foreign frame, coordinate revision changed, source revision changed, and a re-seal are each refused before the program runs.
  • batch_selection_at_64k_allocates_nothing: 64K slots, 0 heap allocations per hot pass, measured by a thread-local counting allocator.

Disable runs (committed first, then broken, then restored); each turns its test red:

  • the cloud leaf removed;
  • the aligned leaf removed;
  • the ¬backsync_conflict leaf removed;
  • the per-pass frame check removed.

Measured (release, 64K slots, 35,202 kept; reported, not gated)

cost
hot keep pass ~0.55–0.63 µs
hot count pass ~0.40–0.67 µs
hot allocations 0
cold Index + fold + Ruler + Planes 43,000–52,000 µs (cold correspondence, outside the fold)

Not proved / open

  • Reading Entra/EXO property values at kept slots. That needs source-owned co-addressed lanes or an admitted gather; neither exists today.
  • How a Ruler slot selection relates to versioned DR property routing. DT64 BindStore route versions and FrameStore revisions are independent clocks, and no owner contract relates them.
  • CloudMailboxes::from_fold (per-row tuple build) and with_exchange_guids (a second GUID sort/search) are unchanged; the lab only shows the batch equivalent of the first.

Generated by Claude Code

…m per pass

Selects confirmed hybrid identities (forward & backsync & aligned & cloud)
over the six fold_aligned planes with one lowered Quack/mask-RISC program,
64 slots per word, with one FrameStore check per pass. No row is bound or
visited on the hot path; no Entra/EXO property value is aligned or read.

Falsifiers: multi-word seeded populations with ten fault classes and
shuffled Entra/EXO rows match an independent scalar oracle slot by slot,
and each kept slot's Output references name the oracle's rows; the
CloudMailboxes::from_fold predicate is reproduced as a batch pass;
reordering every population keeps the selected identities; foreign,
re-sealed, source- and coordinate-stale frames refuse; zero allocations
per 64K-slot hot pass.
