Unexpected token '<', " "... is not valid JSON #1

Description

@secarica

Trying to install 'jcaption-migrate' extension to Joomla! 5.1, I am getting the message shown in <subj.>.

According to this post on Stack Overflow, It seems like the server is returning HTML instead of JSON. This is why you're getting the "Unexpected token '<'" error, because the HTML is not valid JSON..

Fine. Any idea if this is somehow doable at my side, or I should contact the hosting provider ? (with little chance) I even don't know what to tell them or if this is a web server issue (LiteSpeed) or a Joomla! issue.

Is there a workaround at the extension side that can bypass this error ?

Later edit: it appears this is (or was) just a message at the install stage, as the extension shows up in extensions manager and I can activate it. (??) Will try to actually use it in the next period of time (not sure exactly when) and find if it was just a false alarm.
