Quite possibly! We run a public repair café where volunteers help fix broken household items - electricals, clothing, toys and more. Check the event calendar or our Facebook events for the next confirmed date. If you'd like to volunteer as a fixer, get in touch.
We can - or rather, we can help you gain the skills and knowledge to make it yourself. Our members come from all sorts of backgrounds and have numerous skills between them. Ask on Discord and someone can usually give you some advice.
Usually our answer has to be "Sorry, no we can't." We aren't a manufacturing service and we don't take commissions. Our aim, as a hackspace, is to provide a place where the community can make things for themselves and learn new skills along the way - so while we can't make it for you, we'd love to help you learn to make it yourself.
Not at all. Most tools just need a short induction before you use them, and members are happy to show you how. Come along on a Tuesday evening and tell us what you'd like to learn.
Membership is 18+ only and unaccompanied children are not allowed on site. But as a community space, families are welcome, as long as any children are supervised at all times.
We keep them short: a small set of rules and a health and safety policy for using the facilities, and a code of conduct that applies on site and in our online spaces such as Discord. Problems are handled through our grievance procedure. We collect some personal data as required by law and to provide access - see the privacy policy.
Tuesday evenings are our open and social night - socials from 7:30pm, with tours and inductions for new members from around 8pm. No appointment needed. See how to find us.
