Description

Provide clear, default guidance on which E. coli strains to use depending on the task, so members aren't guessing or using suboptimal strains.

Tasks

• Document TOP10 as default cloning strain, with rationale
• Document BL21(DE3) as default protein expression strain, with rationale
• Note any scenario-specific exceptions (e.g., toxic inserts, methylation-sensitive sites)
• Publish as part of contributor-facing documentation
